I know what you mean. And the thing is, I'm literally so detached from the world around me(hence basing the character in Comfort Zone off of myself) that normally anybody like myself wouldn't be able to find inspiration in anything.
But I find inspiration in detachment.
I want my characters to feel the coldness and isolation of the world, because even if they're fake, I don't want to be alone.

Aha, I started writing when I was around 3 to be honest, and I couldn't read then, so I've always been more of a writer than a reader. Though I learned to read when I was 5, and I was always one of the best readers in my class.

I constantly correct people about their grammar and whatnot, because of literature being such a big part in my life. English is my favorite subject in school, because I like to learn how to improve my writing.
And because we get to read awesome books. hahaha.

:] Tell me when it's updated, yes? I'll be online; I'm always online. Damn insomnia. hahaha.

Just different things, y'know?
Comfort Zone is based off a quote from the movie The Perfect Getaway, because there's a part where a guy says, "Nothing exists until I get there." And then whilst googling famous quotes, I stumbled up on a quote by Albert Einstein, that is something along the lines of "Reality is just an illusion."

Broken Mirrors was originally based off of a couple breaking up, and their terrible breakup caused a fight, and I was going to have that scene in there, with the woman knocking the mirror off the wall. But it turned into something completely different.

City Of Darkness is simply based off of a picture I saw of a city crumbling; in fact, that picture is actually the background of the layout on that story.

Highschool Confidential was based off a news report I saw on TV, of a school shooting.

The others are basically based off of just regular events that happen in my life.
I find inspiration in those things and go from there. Music helps too. Sometimes I'll be listening to a song and a lyric will stick with me, and it'll just start as the lyrics turned around into a new sentence, and the sentence becomes a paragraph.
I've been writing since I was able to hold a pen. Even if I had no idea how to spell a word, I'd write anyway. Writing is my outlet. I've had a pretty fucked up life, so the characters in The Pain Will Not Subside and Comfort Zone are based off of myself.

I really don't recommend changing anything. Honestly, you're a very good writer. I like how you developed your character; A lot of writers just put down words, expecting it to be good, and to get praise for using big words, and they don't take the time to tell about their character, y'know?
I like your writing style.
It's a lot better than a lot of shit I've read.

Awesome. :)

Haha, thank you about the profile. It seriously took me months to even begin to understand them HTML/CSS on here, and I still don't really get it, haha. I just lurk people's profiles to find links to good Mibba layout sites.

I'm glad you like it and for the record, yes, I do have another story called "Until the Execution's Over" if you're interested. :)
