yeah, especially in England cause you have to pay tutition fees. My advice would be look at the course and not the uni, you have to decide what one sounds the best for you then go for it no matter where it happens to be. Though I would reccomend going away from home if you can cause that's the only regret I have about my choice
They do start earlier here, schools finish next week but I've been off since the end of may, I'm glad I've been so busy or I would have gone out of my mind due to boredom!
sounds a lot like my life as well that the moment, I'm so sick of exams! And I too got Green Day tickets, in fact their sitting right next to me just now as they came today!
And no, it does not mean that I will be cutting up dead things, although I wouldn't be opposed to that! I'll be working with one of my professors whose a DNA expert so I'll probally just be running PCR tests
Hey, hows things? Thanks for the comment, I really needed a break from studying the other night! Good luck with your exams as well, my first is on thu and then fri so I have a fun week ahead
I'm going to be working at the centre for forensic science during the summer so the story should benefit from some of my firsthand experience hopefully!
Yeah, the Thomas Graham building is the chemistry building, fairly new, I'm in there a lot as well. The old, crappy building is the Royal College, the only thing I like about it is that its attached to 2 other buildings so if its cold or raining, which in Glasgow it inevitably is, I don't need to go outside!!!
It was built over a 100 years ago so I can understand how its in the state it is but they are in the process of fixing everything, annoying when your in a lecture and there's drilling and hammering going on haha
Shame, Glasgow is a cool place, not as rough and tough and its made out to be (even by us lol). Newcastle seems to have a similar reputation for being a bit rough round the edges but I think since the revamp its got more of a modern/cosmopolitan thing going on
Sounds interesting, the experiment that is, were you by any chance in the centre for forensic science? If so you were prob in the royal college (the pic on my profile). I'm in there all the time, really old building, confusing as hell
Don't know why you would waste your time at strathclyde - they pretend their a goo university when in reality their a shithole. What was the experiment? Hope you enjoyed Glasgow then, its a good city really, rather misrepresented, bit like Newcastle I imagine
yes, boo to uni work indeed. I nearly had a mental breakdown writing up my physiology research paper! I swear my mind needs a rest so I will try my hardest to update more often from now on! Thanks for your continued support and enjoy the rest of your week!
it would be nice if you could please read my journal called " to my readers: its important and will explain about my no updating and stuff.
cheers- candace
lateness is cool. thanks for reading and all, but i wont be posting for three weeks because my sister is home and i have no time to write... but i'l get it up asap. cheers
alright Gumby is a green guy made out of clay. It was a cartoon from the late 60's early 70' sto the early 80's. He's a pretty cool guy. I just threw his in my story because i like him alot. It you look at my profile I'll put a pic of him on there. - cheers- candace
