Well just know that when you are able to start writing again, I will definitely be interested in reading. I have loved your other stories - they seem to have a edge to them that I really like. I like when the characters are a little flawed and make mistakes. They are much more realistic than in some of the other fics I have read.

Awesome! I miss hockey so much, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with my fic but it's been rough.

Actually just a hockey fan. We were in Philly and I really wanted to see a playoff game at Wells Fargo - I had heard it was pretty wild, and it definitely did not disappoint!

It was actually fun to be "impartial".

Thanks for commenting on my Toews story! I feel like Jon was just waiting for an excuse to get over himself and allow himself to have what he really wanted with Josey. Hopefully he can live up to what Josey needs!

When I started this story, I thought it would be interesting to have a plot that involved both of the people in the relationship cheating and how they dealt with the fallout from that. Since I'm not really a fan of Toews, it was no problem to write him as a jerk, but it was harder with Josey. Earlier drafts had her much different than she is now but I like this version of her the most (this is why she stopped at the partial BJ, just couldn't make her go all the way with Parise).

Usually I'm not much for writing a pregnancy into the plot but I thought it would be an interesting twist here to help them get over their past hurts, as well as the fact they weren't in a stable, conventional relationship when it occurred. Hopefully I can work out the next chapter with their discussion, right now it's a bunch of disorganized crap all over the place. Josey is going to finally tell Jon a secret that explains her somewhat, at least why she was willing to take what he was willing to give her the past year and a half.

I'm on the fence about returning to "Giving In," mainly because I wanted to take a break from that universe. I had started writing and it was getting too much about Carts/Casey/Richie, so yeah.

Thanks for letting me know. I will be sure to read it.

What about "Giving In"? I loved your premise on that one - especially the unexpected twist. I think it could echo a lot of this issues that are going to come up in the new "Hockey Wives" series.

Soupy, as always, thanks for your long, thoughtful comments. I am glad that people are enjoying seeing their relationship slowly progress. They both have some hangups which is why they haven't talked about feelings yet, plus they haven't been together very long. But I did decide to write a new scene for the beginning of the next chapter to throw in some feelings talk for people, it seemed like it fits in.

I actually have a fair amount of stuff planned until the point where they really settle into their relationship. Trying to keep it all balanced until then but maybe I'll cut some out, haven't figured it out yet. I somehow keep writing Mike sweeter and sweeter but I want him to still be true to his character, which means he's still going to be a dumb jerk sometimes.

Nice to hear from you again, soupy, I missed your thoughtful comments recently.

Mike is rather a patient guy with Taylor considering how she acts towards him sometimes without explanation. Eventually these two will get to the point where they can talk about their feelings but they aren't there yet, although they are trusting each other more. Taylor has to go slowly to learn to trust him.

Yes, that is always difficult - to put the past in the past and judge each situation on its own merit. After you have been hurt by someone, it is really hard to trust someone else. A lot of times you don't even trust your own judgement because you had trusted the last person and they hurt you.

It is ironic though because we end up holding the next person responsible for things they didn't even do. Because we think they might do something - or they PROBABLY will do something - instead of really talking to them and judging them for who THEY are.

I hope Taylor starts to see that she can attract more bees with honey than vinegar, and tears down the wall a little. I think she will be happy with the result.

Keep up the great work - I love this story!

Thanks for your comment on the last chapter. Yes, Taylor is being a little unfair to Mike, but she's afraid of getting hurt after her last cheating boyfriend. Sadly she hasn't gotten to the point yet of having a conversation about their feelings.

It was definitely time for Sid & Maggie to break down that final wall. It'll bring them a lot closer together & is an important part of building their relationship up. Thank you so much for sticking with me over the hiatus, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the update!

Thanks for your thoughtful comments on the last chapter of my Richards story. Taylor and Mike are acting comfortable for the moment but sadly that never lasts with them, as you'll see in the next chapter. Those two just need to sit down and both honestly talk about what they what but they aren't there yet. Until they do, there will be some issues between them.

I'm working on the next chapter now, maybe I'll post something by the end of the long weekend.

I've discovered her recently, but I think I've read pretty much everything she has written. Even if I'm not too fond of the players. The way she writes is amazing. I'm always looking forward to her updates. i drop everything I'm doing when she updates her stories. :)

I think she said if Harper and James end up together, the epilogue just wrote itself. I'm pulling for them to be together but there has to be a huge transformation on James' side.

    Hi Hannah

Juliet is probably one of the best. I have been reading her stories for about 4 years now, and I marvel at the diversity and detail of all of her stories. She has even made me like players I really disliked before her story!

Her Sid stories are epic, but I don't think there is one of her stories that I could say she dropped the ball. I will be interested to see if she incorporates Neal's recent trade to Nashville in the story. I am betting she will, because she has an amazing way of weaving reality into her fiction.

I just accepted your friend request. Thank you very much.

    Take care,
    Lee
