I reached 50,600 words at around 2 o'clock today, and I must say, I'm so glad it's over! Part of me never wants to look at this novel again, but another part is so in love with the story that I know I need to finish it, clean it up a bit, and post it. We'll see what happens, I guess. I still have my novel from November's NaNo lying around, just begging for a good editing, so maybe I should get...

So, I've just discovered that my work has been plagiarized not once, not twice, but six times! Wonderful, ain't it?Four of my short stories have been taken and posted on a forum-based writing site by the same girl, and the first two chapters of one of my longer pieces has been posted on two separate sites by another girl, even including author's notes featuring snippets of my FictionPress profile....

And that, my friends, is plagiarism. What makes you think you can steal another's work and accept compliments for it as if it were your own? Does it make you feel better to know that people love a story you never could've written on your own? Is the attention worth it when it has nothing to do with you or your skills?
