Skye is still figuring out how she feels about her. In Cassidy she sees her sister who she loved very much but they didn't get along while Skye was in her drinking stage so in a way Skye is taking it out on her which isn't fair since they are very different so in a way she likes and dislikes her...but of course another factor comes into play, Mr. Michael Martinez haha and Skye is protective of him in a way because she feels like she owes it to her sister to be that way.
I hope this helped with your confusion if I was on my conputer I would go into more depth but if you need anything else cleared up just let me know :D

Of course :) I may not physically be there but I'm a really good listener! I'm not the best with words and find myself tongue tied but I try my best.
& I've had really hard English teachers in the past who have kind of discouraged me over the past few years so that may be why and I finally had a good one this year but now I have to switch classes so hopefully I'll be able to keep it up or something.

I hope to have it done tomorrow so I can continue with my regular upload schedule but it's weird gkdfgjdfgj I mean I worked on the other one for a while because I quit and then re wrote it so I had the general idea on where things were going and now I only know a few things that are going to happen so I'm freaking out a bit XD

Well, for me I would describe Cassidy as a little bit smaller than average weight but she obviously doesn't see it herself. Like most girls we see ourselves as bigger than we actually are but in Cassidy's mind she sees herself a whole lot bigger than she is. She has really straight mousy brown hair and regular brown eyes. She's a lot prettier than she gives herself credit for.
You'll probably find out more in the next chapter on why she feels the way that she feels since on the outside she's just a quiet and polite girl but she has a lot more problems than you think.

Yeah haha my dad actually has colon cancer and he is in the process right now of getting rid of it and my uncle has brain cancer so since I was kind of lost on what to do I decided to incorporate something from my life.
I know what you mean about the not being close thing.
