Well, the pool is just an outdoor pool in the local town, it's not our own one (if we had our own pool, that would be epic though!). And the thunderstorms were quite cool, but now they've gone it's basically just cloud and bits of rain and bits of sun - awkward weather. Which is very inconvenient when it comes to deciding what to do, what to wear, all that kind of stuff. English weather seriously annoys me sometimes. Facepalm

Aww that sucks. Hope you feel better soon. Arms

Yep, tanning. tehe I already had a bit of a tan because I went to Spain about a month ago, but then I topped it up during the week through sunbathing and spending a lot of time by the pool. But like you said, now it's overcast and wet again. We've had two thunderstorms already today (though they weren't very exciting ones unfortunately).

Oh, I remember something about running across canoes or whatever too. I don't think I did that one either. Facepalm

Yeah, it probably was a good idea not to go on the boats actually - we spent the entire day by the pool yesterday instead, which is much better than having to row a boat (and now I'm super tanned! Crazy). What have you been up to anyway?

Ew, that's not so good. I don't think I've ever capsized a boat - when I was younger, we went on a school trip where we did sailing and stuff, but I refused to do the capsizing part.

We actually didn't go boating in the end because my friend hurt her foot. It's a shame, but it was so hot today that I'm kind of glad too - you don't exactly get a lot of shade in the middle of a river, after all.

haha. I'm usually alright after five or ten minutes, but my friend is notoriously clumsy, so she'll probably make us capsize about every thirty seconds. Oh well, thinking about the Operation reminds me that life could be a hell of a lot worse than it is now. tehe

Yep, people can be pretty annoying sometimes. It's so much effort talking to them.

And is now a good time to mention that I have a small fear of boats? I'm not nearly as bad as I used to be, but I've never particularly liked them.

Putting out the washing is the best way to spend time in the sun. XD It's what I do when it's sunny but I can't be bothered to go out. My friends have decided we're going to go in little boats on the river tomorrow though, so I'll be getting my sun that way. Should be an...interesting...experience.

Hahaha! I mostly just included her in Chasing Imagination to kind of give a bit of a reason why she and Casper didn't get on. But I liked the idea of interlinking it, because it gives it more...layers, I guess.

I should update Martyr's Run, but I can't be bothered right now. Facepalm I'm sorry the updates have been coming slower than on HH, but it's because I've suddenly developed a social life, which is really exciting for me. Dance Ever since my friends found out the weather was going to be good this week, they've made about a million plans for every single day.

Your comment made me really happy - I was in a bit of a bad mood this evening (although I was in a really good mood earlier) but now I'm feeling a lot better again! I'm glad you liked it - I wasn't sure whether to include the Surgery idea at all, because it felt like I was including something sick and disturbing just for the sake of making the story sick and disturbing.

Just a random question (which I meant to ask a while ago): now that you know Hurricane's real name, did you realise that she also appeared in Chasing Imagination? I didn't want to make it too obvious - ideally, it would be something that some readers picked up on and others didn't.

Haha. That's what my hair looks like most of the time too. XD

I'm so glad you thought he seemed like a 3-dimensional character, because throughout this entire story, characterisation was my biggest problem. That's why I don't like this one as much as I like HH - I just keep worrying that the characters aren't as good.

I do exactly the same thing. My sister doesn't actually like reading, which I think is crazy, but whenever there's a plot twist in a book I am reading I rush to her room and tell her all about it. Shifty

You didn't fail in meme-slipping, actually. 'True Story' is a meme. tehe The Barney Stinston one.
So, well done. Oh, I'm sorry, my suitcase does not have an en-suite bathroom. Cry It has clothes that you can sleep on, and a fridge, but that's about it. Awh, you're making me blush. I'm not too clever for you: judging by the literature you post on this site, I would have to say that you're too clever for me! :) Yeah, true true. SATs is redundant. :) End-of-year exams and GCSEs are the real deal. Hell yeah. Wow you got an 8b in maths?! Mother of God. I'm in Year 7 and I haven't even hit a level 7 yet. Sad I'm level 6a, in case you were interested.

Mulan reference, haha. I think 'Challenge Accepted' is just... a meme demon. A very popular meme demon. They have mugs now. Just incase you want to announce the control 'Challenge Accepted' has over you.

    Image

There's a lot more merchandise, too. Keyrings and badges and books and tatoos and mouse mats and... ehhhjgwbhydggydg.

That is... a lot of emoticons. I am so proud. *thunderous amount of applause*

You win this round, chooseday. You win this round.

No it wasn't - I've always thought my characters all sounded the same! They're all slightly sarcastic at times, reasonably well-spoken in their thoughts (even if they don't speak like that), and they swear a fair amount.

Haha I'm glad you like it. I didn't realise I had actually changed style between characters - it certainly wasn't something I did consciously. I'm quite proud of that now though, because obviously different characters are going to think and talk differently.

Yeah, I'm not generally a fan of things about aliens and other planets and lots of technical, scientific stuff, but I like being able to just create pretty much any situation for the characters, and be able to justify it.

Haha. I hope it will be good. This one's...different, I think, compared to Chasing Imagination and Hurricane Heart. But hopefully good different. It has more of a sci-fi feel, which I've decided I like, because with sci-fi you basically have an excuse to write anything you feel like, and put the characters in a whole load of crazy situations.

YAY! I'm so glad you thought it was okay. When I was writing the ending, I was just like, "does this even make sense?" And now I'm kind of sad, because HH is my favourite thing I've ever written, and now I've finished posting it. BUT the first chapter of the sequel will be posted tonight (most likely after some severe editing). I've already made the summary page, so I think there's a link to it already on HH at the top of the page if you want a 'sneak preview'. tehe
