    Hello =]
I was just wondering about if I want to post a short story (which I do) how do I choose the option that makes it a short story? Do I just tick the "this story is complete" box when I post it and that's it?
    Thank you

Ah that sucks that you weren't even warned that the position was going to be taken away from you. I'm sorry to hear that.

Serena, you're not a Mod anymore? OMG NO!
It looks so weird seeing you on the forum without the green text underneath your name.

Also, rather randomly, do you have any particular Porcupine Tree songs that you think that I should listen to? I'm going to buy some of their stuff, and seeing as you're the only fan of the band that I know of, I'd quite like to get recommendations by people that know and love the band the most. (:

The lense didn't fully open, but you can see the cloud over the mountain that looked like a phoenix in the sunset, it was a gorgeous day xD

Haha. Thanks. Try not to kill your legs! xD

Yeah. It passed by me this year without me even realizing it. Quite a different story than what the past decade has been.

Same here. A lot of people really hate their newer stuff. I know less than a handful of people who even like St. Anger. Although I do think that "Garage Inc." was really good.

Hmm... have you ever heard of Beatallica, by chance?

I don't like COB nearly as much as I used to now, and I'm really not a fan of their newer stuff. The Beatles though... I flipping love them so much. xD

A lot of people I know say that. I like Dark Side of The Moon, but personally I prefer Wish You Were Here and The Wall over it. Also their early stuff before Syd Barrett left. Syd Barrett's solo stuff is amazing too! ^^

I really, really want to See God Is An Astronaut and Sigur Ros too. I got the next best thing with Sigur Ros though and got the Album Leaf, though! ^^
There's a lot of post rock bands I like. So many concerts, so little time... hopefully It'll be possible to make a few. xD

And that's awesome. I first got into it during my latter years of high school. xD
Do you have a favorite series?

It would, but try telling that to a guy who would by twenty albums a day and has no money left in his college fund when the university he goes to gives a huge raise to the tuition! Dx

I try and buy albums, and if it's a band that I REALLY love, I do, but mostly I just download because I can't afford to buy. I'll leave the band a big I.O.U. with the limited money I have! I'd rather spend it on merch and concert tickets, which supports the bands a lot more than buying their album from their label.

When you do ask her let me know how big. I'm curious too. xD

    Yeah. I'm so jealous. xD

Not very often, because I don't have a driver's liscence nor a car, so I only go that far north if my mom wants to see me and takes me up herself. I end up seeing my dad a lot more because I crash at his place whenever I go to a concert in San Francisco, which he's close to.

Despite the getting sick part I had a good time though. I saw the king tut exhibit! It was also the first valentines day that I spent without a valentine since third grade. It was nice getting a break from all that for a change.

Well, are you talking about pre or post-Black Album Metallica? Ah. Even regardless of that, that makes so little sense! xD
There was a period of my life where my favorite bands were Children of Bodom and The Beatles though. Now, tell me how much sense that makes. xD

And awesome! Which Pink Floyd album is your favorite? Dark Side?

I can proudly say I've seen two of my three all-time favorite bands live now. Unfortunately, half of my first favorite band's members died before I truly started to appreciate their work. Dx

And, latley it seems other things have influenced my musical tastes. Watching Serial Experiments Lain (awesome anime, btw!) got me listening to Boa and got me listening to Electrasy again (I have no clue why).

Take random notes too often, and I'm too lazy to back it all up most of the time. xD

Well I have pseudo-backup, in that since I first started collecting music my little brother has bought a total of 5 albums tops, and instead just leeched off my collection, so he actually has the vast majority of my music backed up on his computer... although because of my compulseive downloading he always has to update his collection to match mine every time I visit. Other than that... my collection is far too big to back up. I can't afford to. By itself I need a terabyte drive to hold just one copy of it all! I really should though. I need a way that doesn't involve buying several external hard drives every year!

My collection's currently numbered at exactly 5964 albums, but that'll go up by 5-10 by tomorrow. That includes massive box sets like Merzbox and In Search of The... as one album each though. Has your room mate ever counted her's?

Lol. Yeah. I'd imagine so. Your seeing Porcupine Tree more than once though, so I'd have no clue how that could not be fun. xD

The haul there and the way back partically killed me last weekend though. So much driving, so little sleep. Which doesn't make any damn sense because I become narcoleptic when I'm in a car seat. Got sick on Valentines Day, and I've just now recovered.

Yeah. When I started listening to U2 I was really into R.E.M. as well. That was back when I still only listened to metal so it was a bit of an oddball in my collection, and I suppose you could say they were my first step to listening to something other than metal.

I didn't think I could love a band any more than I loved In Flames. Then The Album Leaf happened, and now Porcupine Tree is pushing me farther into prog rock and renewing my love of Pink Floyd.

I'd imagine it would. I'm pretty good at deciphering lyrics, but it usually takes me a few listens to get it too. I pride myself that I can understand most of "Atlas" by Battles, though. Have you heard of them, or, that song, by chance? The lyrics are beyond insane. xD

That it would be. I don't know why I didn'nt do that considering I have two flash drives. I've got the majority of my stuff backed up, but not my music, because theres way too much of it.

Nice. The majority of my collection is only digital, but I counted up the amount of albums I have and compared it to my dad's cd collection. His stuff is wall to wall, but I have over twice as much as him.
