Fair enough. I'm glad you were able to do that. =) I don't even know how to get in touch with an agent, or how to figure out which ones are legitimate, all that jazz, so I was planning to just self-publish, but I may find an agent instead. Well, good luck with your sales and writing and everything!
@ AmorarEsDeVivir Well, with my first novel I pitched it to 30 agents I found through books and searching the internet. They all turned it down so I decided to self-publish it. Then with my second novel I went with a different approach. I got some publishers from other authors I knew and sent it to them. I also found some publishers who were looking for young adult books through twitter and friends I have who are writers. The publishers I picthed my book to do e-books and traditional paperback. I figured e-books are getting more and more popular so it was worth a shot. I ended up with two different publishers out of maybe eight who I sent it to, who were both interested in my book. I compared the two and signed a contract with the one I liked best.
Oh, that's awesome! Congratulations on that contract! If a professional publisher agreed to publish your novel, then obviously it's got some merit--publishers don't usually publish something if they don't think it'll sell/make money. =P How did you get in touch with a publisher, anyway?
Oh..Well, I read one of them...I, uh...God how do I say this. I don't really read Frerard unless I really need slash and I can't find anything else. Its a little weird for me to be reading about real people who I know a little about, especially people from a band I don't particularly like. Don't take offense, I will definitely check out some of your other slash stories.
