Exactly. And yeah, their talent is just unique. And I know people will be like 'it's not unique' but that's not true because it really is unique because not everyone can do it.
You probably don't hate country music but more like the songs/artists you have listened to. I'm not saying that you most certainly don't hate it, but I really really dislike/hate most pop music but I adore the old pop music that I grew up with so I don't hate pop because of that.
Yeah, obviously people like listening to 'just screaming' otherwise it wouldn't exist. And just because they hear just screaming doesn't mean that it is all just screaming, because it's not. It's the lyrics, the vocalist and the band that makes it mean more.
Music is music, whether you like the genre or not.

Opinions are acceptable and if someone doesn't like it then it doesn't matter because they probably have a different opinion to you.
Some people are amazing at putting lyrics and beat in together and other people not so much. But others are amazing at just the lyrics or beat so it evens out.
I don't think I've ever really listened to country music. I mean, I may have listened to one or two songs or artists but not enough to form an opinion of it. Yeah, like I love metal where they do scream and yes, sometimes you can't make out the words on the first time listening. And I get a lot of people shaking their heads and being all like 'this isn't even music. it's screaming' and I get why they say that but it's their opinion and just because they can't understand the words does not mean it's not music.

Yeah. But I mean, that's my opinion of him and everyone has a different opinion. Just gotta accept it.
Sometimes the lyrics are the best part of the song and sometimes it's the beat and tune and everything that is. It all depends on how it's put together.
Long periods of classic would just be... boring to me. But to others it wouldn't be. But they grew up with classic then.

Yeah. His lyrics and songs (and voice) annoy me to the high heavens and I really don't like him, but other people like him for some reason I can't understand.
Songs like that - which are rare to me - really put me off. I once heard this song which started kinda... light but punk-popish but then the guy started screaming in a low voice which did not go with it. At all. When I had music at my school, they would play bits of classic music. Now, in the bits I listened to, I could listen to it and be like 'this is kinda nice' but I couldn't listen to the whole song.

Exactly. Justin Bieber, to me, seems well... pointless and I cannot understand how he can mean so much to some people, but I guess he must do in some way to them.
Yeah. I mean, I've once listened to this song that was just music with no lyrics and I found it was absolutely terrible. If it had lyrics it might have been better. Though, some people can get away with having just music and making it really good.

Yeah. Me either.
Exactly. There was this song on the telly on like Saturday and my dad was like 'there's no meaning to this song' which, sure, might not be to him but there was to me.
Yeah, the melody, bass line, drums, guitar sound etc can alter a mood and therefore make that song mean so much to someone.

Wow. I'd hate to have been in the same town my whole life. I mean, I would have loved to stay in or around London/Kingston my whole life but not the town.
Even the songs that aren't meant to tell a story, where the lyrics are just like... dance and upbeat and don't make sense. But they do make sense to at least someone.
Yeah. Just because something is significant to you doesn't mean it's the same to someone else. Because nine times out of ten, it's not.

Yeah, me too. Or back to the old place for me which would feel like a new place now.
Exactly. Just because a song might tell a story with the lyrics and the it doesn't count for the person singing/rapping it doesn't mean it's not a true story.
Yeah, music is magical like that. It's inspiring and just downright amazing.

Yeah. But then again... if you lived somewhere for all your life and people who didn't found it cool or interesting you probably wouldn't because you would have lived there your whole life.
Yeah! But then, the fake story is also a portrayal of a real story but in a different sort of way, if you think about it. And yeah, and when you get what they're feeling, it can help you too.

Yeah. If I was back in my hometown - Kingston - I would love it and wouldn't want to move from it. But I'm not and I miss it so I want to go back to it no matter what.
Exactly! Music is an interesting way to learn about their emotions, what they're feeling and etc.

I leave school in May but then I can't move away from here until I'm 18. :/ I kinda hope I get into sixth form and then uni but a uni that's not... here, where I am. Just so I can get away.
Yeah, it's good that his life is getting better and that he's still growing as a person, but he'll never get the rarity of his old lyrics back. But it doesn't mean his new lyrics are shit either.

That's a good life that your iPod has lived. I don't think there's every really been anything... fun or interesting to do here. In RAF Valley, which is like a five minute drive, the Prince of Wales and his wife Kate visited sometime in the spring, I think it was. But other than that... nothing.
His older stuff mean more because he went through a lot then and now his life is panning out better for him which means that he's no longer going through everything bad he was then.

That sucks. I've had my iPod since year nine sometime... I'm now in year eleven so it's been pretty good. Where I live now is so boring and uninteresting and just overall 'omg why does it exist?'
Yeah, me too. I mean, Relapse is good - I think anything of his (his and his alone - not collabs [though some are good]) are - but the older stuff are slightly... better. In my opinion.

Yeah, I hope mine'll start working again so I don't have to bin it and get another one. But sadly, it doesn't. And actually, I was born in Kingston which is apart of London though, so yeah. It's cool though.
Gah, me too. I woulda been far too young to see him like.. before he had that break he did.

I don't like getting rid of old stuff because some of my stuff came from London, and I was born there and lived there for most of my life so it's like... if I bin it, it feels like I'm binning apart of my life there. And it sucks.
He'd be really amazing live, I think.

I hate throwing stuff away and I hate getting new stuff. People think it's weird that I don't like getting new stuff but the thing is... I just prefer old stuff but I know it, love it and understand it. And yeah, ugh. I forgot it like one day this week and I had to listen to these year eights (I think they were) and they were talking about what sciences they were taking and dropping for their GCSEs. And I was just shaking my head and was tempted to just tell them that you can't drop a single science for your GCSEs because that's not how it works.
Yeah, he's really inspiring and his songs mean a lot to me. I'd love to see him in concert sometime in my life. It'd be amazing.

I'd literally die if my iPod broke because I have a long journey for school every bloody day and if I had to listen to the damn year sevens/eights talk the whole time, I'd prefer to rip my ears off.
He raps about life, what's happened in his life and his troubles etc. He's been through a lot and most of it he's rapped about which was probably his outlet otherwise he could have done something really bad. He's had to work for everything he has now.

Me and iTunes... we have a tough love relationship. It doesn't like me too well and I don't like it too well when it fucks up on me.
He was really admirable even though he's nowhere near what most people would class as someone admirable because of everything he's done in life. But god... everything that he's done in his life is what makes him admirable.

I don't go on youtube a lot, only when I need to find a song or video or something like that.
Oh, Eminem, he's one 'mainstream' artist that I've cared about for practically all my life. I've been listening to him for ages. And yeah, I have heck loads of respect for him too.

The radio and I don't agree with each other - it fuzzes up for me so therefore I never listen to it. Though, I sometimes listen to Kerrang! Radio online if there's like... someone coming on the show that I like or something like that.
I'll admit that I like some of the stuff that is 'mainstream' but it doesn't mean I like the artists - I like the song and there is nothing wrong with that. But some people think that just because I like the song but I like rock and screamo and other stuff like that, that I can't like that song. It's stupid.
