Oh, I'm starting fall 2012, so only next year. Will it go up for everyone even if you start before 2013?! Wow, that's a lot. Can't be much worse than here when in five years the prices have doubled for college and they are all mostly hiking their prices another 25% this year. On average, US students go in debt $80,000 to $100,000 for 4 years of school, so for a bachelor's degree. It's ridiculous. That's around 170,000 pounds. And the government doesn't help you at all, but you HAVE to go to school to get a decent job these days.

I think I have to have all my applications in by October. Which isn't too bad, it's still awhile for me to decide. Yeah, that's why I wasn't even going to look passed Liverpool, I would not be able to get used to it fast enough. Though, where I live in Arizona right now gets pretty cold, but definitely not as cold as the UK.
Oh, here you have to take out loans. If you get a student loan you don't have to start paying back until after graduation, but even if you don't have a job, you have to start paying it back, they don't wait for you to start making money. So, the UK is a lot nicer for higher education! I think the US has the WORST higher education program of all the first world countries.

Oh that's nothing compared to US schooling. They repay you in the UK?! No, in the US all your school debts are on you. 12 thousand pounds in three years?! That's about $22,000, which is barely ONE YEAR of Uni in the US, it's absolutely ludicrous! It'll cost me about 12 thousand pounds a year to go to the UK, which isn't bad for being international.
I'll put them on my list. (: Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I kinda wanted to stay south, Liverpool is where I drew my line, I don't really want to go any farther north than Liverpool. It'll be too cold, I'm from California! I'll go into shock ahhaha! (:

Hmm...I'll put that one on my list of schools I need to look into as well! I bet it's pretty expensive for international students though. ):
I've been looking into all these other schools because they are ranked pretty high in their English programs, but also they are not that expensive internationally (the thing that kills is that the pound is worth more than the dollar still ahhaha).

Well, I was searching around and said they were ranked pretty high for Creative Writing, but I liked Middlesex because it has Creative and Media Writing (which is like zero boring lit yayy)
But thanks for the link! It seems really useful! Thannk youuu. (:
Where are you going to go?

    YAY HAPPY BELATED THEN!
I turn 18 at the end of next month then I shall be an adult as well!
I wanted to ask you, I don't know if you know too much about a lot of the Unis in the UK, but I was thinking about going to Middlesex Uni in Hendon next year. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but of course, it's got the perfect degree for me. What do you recommend?
The schools on my list are Nottingham Trent, Middlesex, Chichester, and Uni of East Anglia (though that one's a bit expensive). What do you think?
    (Sorry, this was ridiculously long)

Thanks! Me too! I wanted to go back to the standard layout so that there was easier access to my stories. Anyway, how have you been?

It's SUPER nice being almost done, so your teacher's know you won't do well on the tests anyway because you're focusing on graduation and college prep, so they never give tests. SO awesome.

True, but I never really have exams anymore (love it!) So all I get is coursework. It's such a pain in the ass!

Are A Levels like standardized tests, like state-sanctioned? If so, yeah, state tests are rough. Glad I took those years ago.
Yeah, writing has been really difficult, what with keeping up with school, and trying to at least be semi-social. Hahaha.
