Oh my goodness... comment swap is so broken.

Thanks for the feedback on Winter Wakes; that's the first draft and I've already completely rewritten the first eight chapters. I think I completely eliminated most of the first chapter and rewrote it entirely in Winter Wakes Revisited.

Comment swap has been broken for months for me, so I'm quite literally getting comments on things I haven't asked for any on at this point. I appreciate your feedback, though.

Hey, thank-you so much for your comment on Pitter Patter, I'm glad you liked it so much! :)

As for the content, when I started writing I wasn't intending to go down that route at all but I just kind of let it flow.. I felt uncomfortable writing it! haha.
Anyways, I'm not overly bothered about the competition aha, I just want to get opinions on my work and I'm really happy you left such a long in-depth comment (I'm about to look at chapter 4 and I get what you mean now ahaa)
    Thanks again :D

Well, when you're from Alaska like I am, long hours in a car to get from point A to point B make you immune to motion sickness!

I know how that is. Like I just went on a fishing trip and decided that I wanted a good book to read on the three hour drive to the camp, so I brought a leather-bound copy of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and another book from my AP Lang class called "The Writing Life" by Annie Dillard. Not only did I read "The Writing Life" the whole time, but I found myself enjoying it thoroughly rather than before when I felt like I was shooting myself in the foot. I'm not sure if I grew as a writer/reader or if maybe it was because I was not forced to read it this time, but it was truly an inspirational read! I recommend it, by the way, it's a brilliant read!

What??? The Scarlet Letter is amazing! The depth behind each character, how everyone interacts with Pearl. How Hester is so strong through-out the entire novel??? It's beautiful. And the frame narrative of the whole book is wonderful!

Indeed! Anti-heroes create a world that has imperfections which is way more perfect than that "knight in shining armor" persona that many people chase. Besides, anti-heroes get to say all of the B.A. lines.

I think that they do! I mean, the cowboy life is very fascinating! Any dude who can ride a horse as long as cowboys do have earned my respect. And the legends that surround these guys are ridiculous. One man claimed to be able to shoot off six bullets before a coin, that he dropped, hit the ground. And everyone loves a good anti-hero, and westerns are full of them! People who don't have the right motives, but still you understand them as a person and appreciate their valor.

Just got your comment. HOLY POO! You wrote me a book about my book!

Yeah, I can see how that would not flow very well. I'll work on it. I'm glad you hated Mr. Purple, I also hate him. I thought about letting him live as a character, but then I was all like "Oh hecks naw. He gotta die."

And to be completely honest about Westerns, I've only read one western novel. I've watched maybe three western movies. The Quick and the Dead being my personal favorite. And my main inspiration for the art of "gunslinging" was from the video game, Red Dead Redemption. I just love the idea of westerns as a whole! :)

It's American culture! Europe has knights in shining armor, Japan has ninjas, but the stories of cowboys are strictly American. :D

It's fine! Sometimes all you need is a fresh pair of eyes! :) If you could, I'm also working on a story called Marc the Gunslinger. I need fresh eyes who are familiar with adventure/action.

Aw, thanks so much! I’m glad you gave it a chance. I’m amazed that I even finished writing it to be honest with you. But I’m really glad you felt connected to the characters like that. That’s what I was really hoping for so it’s good to hear it worked.
And definitely don’t give up on love! If it was easy then it wouldn’t be worth it.
And thanks so much for commenting. You made my day! XD

Hi, you commented on my story, A Millenium is Enough. I posted a comment back saying that I thought you were just picking on the little details and I notice that you deleted it. A comment back would be appreciated.
