  • I never said you didn't have talent. I said you're young and you're more than likely new to writing fanfiction so you will get better. At the moment though, I personally think you're not writing a Weasley twin fanfiction at all. That's all. I'm going to unsubscribe, mostly because I'm just sick and fucking tired of people having the comment section on their stories up and then not being able to handle constructive criticism. I wish you luck.

  • And I'm going to tell you in the kindest way possible that as it stands, I'm the only person commenting on your story as it is. Technically if you're just going by an existing storyline within the series, you don't really have a storyline mapped out, you're just piggy backing on an existing one. You're young so I'm assuming you'll get better as time goes on, but as it stands, you should probably not mention the twins in your summary at all considering it's more like a rehashing of something everyone has already read, and that doesn't include the twins. Face it, she's several years older than the trio, barely knows them and is good friends with Fred and George yet has, for all intents and purposes, abandoned them to hang out with kids that she barely knows. Part of the greatness of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley is that they learned how to do this with pretty much just each other. I think having her constantly there to give them advice and almost hold their hand deters from that.

  • That is true, so I guess that would make sense. I'm also okay with her going after the show, but possibly try to have her just have way more interaction with the twins. xD

  • I think once you have her not quite so following around the trio and following their storyline and finding a way to have her more interact with people her own age and her own storyline, it'll be better. After all, this is her wanting to be with one of the twins, not with one of the trio, so I'd rather she get into shenanigans with them and then like, as a sideplot, involve the actual Harry Potter plot line in, like I probably would have preferred her hearing about the remberall incident at the same time Fred and George did to provide a sort of different perspective instead of moving Harry's lines and moments over to Hayley.

  • lol Okay then. I still probably think you could have gotten away with her just observing the class and having Neville still fall and injure his arm instead of changing the scene that much, but either way, it's still a decent chapter. :)

  • Seriously, so far the longest chapter I've ever written up was for a story I deleted and I want to say that chapter was about 10 pages in microsoft word. I don't think it was double spaced. xD I also think that's single spaced because if I double space things in microsoft word, I feel like I'm putting a space between paragraphs when I'm not or something like that.

  • Oh, definitely. He is important and he is there for a reason. Besides, I kind of find him amusing. xD

  • *nods* It was just odd.

Plus I find it odd that Professor Binns, from what I can tell, has not been included in a single movie and IDK, I think he's slightly interesting in the fact that he's rather boring. xD They gave his lines to McGonnagal in Chamber of Secrets, because Professor Binns was supposed to be the one to explain it, which made more sense to ask the history teacher about the history of Hogwarts, rather than randomly bringing it up during transfiguration.

  • It was better on the train, because in the movie, it could almost as viewed as like, showing off. In the book it was very quiet and it was just very personal. I just felt it was more memorable in the train, since it was just Harry going. "I choose Ron. I don't care what anyone else thinks."

  • Eh, true, but I still get annoyed with some of the changes that they make that seems sort of arbitrary. Like making the confrontation between Draco and Harry be right before the sorting instead of on the train.

  • Lol, s'ok. :)

Me too, clearly. Granted, I'm just horrendous to watch the HP movies with because I just squirm and bitch about them not following the books. >_<

  • With me I just got bored I wanted something more entertaining. Ofcourse this could've been introduced by my change in musical taste lol. You're welcome :) && How are you?
    November 20th, 2011 at 05:54am
  • Oh, it wasn't and she felt really embarrassed afterward, but that's just an example of how everyone makes mistakes.

  • Lol, s'ok. :) It happens to all of us. xD

My teacher told my class about one time she turned in a graduate level paper without thoroughly checking it and instead of 'assess', she'd written 'asses' like, 40 times.

  • She was interesting and I found her amusing in the beginning because she was trying so hard to be perfect and I understood it. I definitely understood the drive to excel at everything. Plus, I also understood what it was like to be made fun of for trying too hard.

Lol, no problem. You've got great potential as a writer and I don't want you to get discouraged. I know it's hard to put your writing out there to the world, especially when it feels like or seems no one cares. I don't want you to feel like that, because even when it's fanfiction, it's still a part of you and it's still something you work hard on.

Plus, I love me some Fred and George. They're two of my favorite characters ever in the Harry Potter franchise. Although I shamelessly admit my very favorite is Sirius Black.
