Oh my learned in all things Scandinavian friend, should the title of Ibsen's play 'Et dukkehjem' be translated as 'A Doll's House' or 'A Doll House'?

Yeah, I have been trying to take some time out of my day lately to fix all that, because I did not realize that the format here was a "space between each paragraph in addition to the new line" until a couple days ago. I just thought it was rude of them to just report all my stories instead of leaving a comment that could have potentially helped me out. It is kind of as if they do not want me on the site. (Or maybe I am just reading too much into it: I am a paranoid-type schizophrenic.)

There's no issue with my stories. I just want to know if there's a way to track who reports what, so that trolling like this is lessened.

Excuse me, but you took my comment toward Andy completely out of context. I merely asked her if she was the one who reported every single one of my stories for lacking paragraph structure (when they definitely do contain organized paragraphs), because we've had a few disagreements about religion and she's the only person I've really disagreed with that much on this forum. I wasn't accusing her. And when I said the last part, I was referring to the action itself as immature and passive agressive. If she didn't do it, then I'm not calling her these things; rather, the person who did this.
And I would very much like to complain about this situation with the reporting of all my stories for violating rules, which I did not actually violate.

Sorry, I just gotta point this out 'cause I'm a nerd.

You have the same name as the new Doctor Who!

    Again, sorry for bothering you.

That's sounds perfect. Though I think that Hillhead station is closer to the botanical gardens so maybe you'll want to stop there?

Sunday works really well. what do you want to do? I really want to go to the botanic gardens if it doesn't rain, but apart from that I don't have any special requests. I've found this really cool recipe for mini carrot cakes and I can't wait to try it out tomorrow morning. if that goes well, I could cook you that and offer you tea in return for your delicious Christmas dinner. if it doesn't, we could just go to a cafe and have something to eat there.

I've just discovered the social sciences and law library which is in a different building so it's really really quiet and lovely and they almost always have a free computer.

We haven't had snow since January. the weather's actually quite nice despite the rain, there are crocuses and snowdrops everywhere. if it stopped raining walking in the park/around the campus would be wonderful. I don't think either of us will get snow. It's too late in the year, spring's here already.

I doubt they'll close down the postgrad section since it brings the university loads of money. XD it's just us undergrads that are not economically feasible. I dunno, I don't think we offer Scandinavian languages at postgrad, if you'd still want to do that. though Glasgow has really good facilities and faculty members for East and Central European studies. postgrad study is many miles away. you have the longest degree possible and you're not even halfway through it so I wouldn't worry that much about it yet. :)

our library's recently introduced express computers on which you can only stay logged in for 20 minutes before they automatically log you off for when you have to print out something or check your email, but can't find a free computer. they're awesomest thing ever. the only thing more awesome would be to be able to see which computers are free at reception and book them from there so by the time you go up to level 8 somebody else hasn't taken your place.

I want to see how the weather is this weekend (i.e. 19-20 February) and if it's doesn't snow we could make it the weekend after that, if the weather's bad it could be the other weekend. or we could defy the snow. we saw this Polish film called Interrogations about this woman who gets arrested and tortured and made to confess to crimes she didn't commit during the communist regime. it's rather graphic too. I dunno, our topic is heroic women and we could have done so many nicer albeit less dramatic films. they want to cut the whole school of modern languages except the Spanish and French divisions and since the comp lit programme is run by the people in the Slavonic studies schools, there's a good chance it'll get cut too. it's just crazy because modern foreign languages are by far the most productive/economically sound/employable humanities degree you can get.

that's awful, I hope your laptop gets fixed soon Arms you shouldn't feel that guilty for using library computers when you're not doing work, I always see people on facebook/youtube/etc in the library. XD

Any weekend except the next weekend would work for me. I have two big essays due next week and I'm starting to panic so I'll probably be spending the weekend in the library.

It's a really lovely story. ahh I really miss my volume of Borges' complete works. it's too heavy and bulky, I couldn't bring it with me. your comp lit course is so immensely cool. we had to watch this dreadful film for mine. :/ somebody actually ran out of the room during it because it was so bothering. though the comp lit programme has a whole course on Borges at honours and I kindof want to take it. that is if the comp lit programme still exists in two years time. XD

I'm so happy that you're finding vegetarianism fun. :D Being vegan turned out to be really hard, expensive and not fun. :/
I feel your pain when it comes to essays, though I only had a short one to turn in for English and an assignment for creative writing to finish over the weekend. My two main essays are due around the 20th of February so some time after that would work for me, I think. especially since I hope the weather's going to get better by then. Last week the weather was incredibly nice and sunny but then it's been raining almost all the time in the last 3 or 4 days - it even snowed on Wednesday so I dunno.
Aw, Borges is nice. I assume you read him in Spanish? What did you read?

Meg, when are your essays due? :) I still maintain that you must come to Glasgow for tea, biscuits and a walk in the botanical gardens sometime this spring and it's going to be spring in about four hours.
