I did the ELAT! It was fun. Honestly, I don't think there's a real way to get a 'good' score, they're purely judging you based on your thought process and if they don't like the way you think then you can't do anything about it, so I would just have fun with it. You get, I think, something like eight texts (possibly more, there was a lot of reading, and the texts are all fairly obscure) and you basically analyse a few of them based around a really loose theme (or maybe there isn't even a theme, I don't remember). I think I wrote about the topic of 'beauty' or something like that.
I can't remember my exact score, but they graded it into four bands. 1 - they were definitely going to ask you to an interview unless the rest of your application was awful. 2 - they would probably ask you to an interview. 3 - they probably wouldn't. 4 - they definitely wouldn't, unless the rest of your application was amazing. I got a band 2 and didn't get an interview, probably because my GCSEs were really not Oxford standard XD But as you're probably aware, some people get amazing ELAT scores and no offer, and some people bomb it and get in.
I actually hadn't heard the song until, like, a week ago when my dad played it and I fell in love with it. He likes Oasis "even though they're weird and you know why they're weird? 'cuz they're british."
Ahhh thank you so much! That's actually a very big help. :) Basically the line in the story I'm writing is said by a guy to a girl he's just met at a club, which goes, "Which Sex and the City girl do you think you are? I bet you're ____. She's the sassy one." because the girl is saying things very sarcastically and back-chatting him.
Is that pretty much the exact same way Samantha is?
Okay, great! Well hopefully you might know this then. Which of the four women on the show would be considered the "sassy" one? Or are they all kind of like that?
Heeey so this is totally random and all, but I have a Sex and the City based question and I looked at the thread to see who liked the show to be able to answer the question for me. So, would you mind answering a question for me? I just need to know something about one of the women for a line in a story I'm writing.
