I need some advice.

So before I left for college, I had a job at a coffee house and had a decent amount of money saved up. But prior to my leaving, I got into a car accident that cost me $500. Then because my mom couldn't take out a parent plus loan, I had $1,000 in tuition that I had to pay for myself (with the help of my grandmother, since I didn't have that kind of money to blow). Now that I've been here for a...

I moved to college today.

So today was the big day. I'm an Ohio Welcome Leader (aka OWL) at Ohio State, so today I moved in three days earlier than the scheduled move in day. It has been a very emotionally taxing day, to say the least, so I'm skipping an "optional" dinner before more OWL duties start at 7.My dorm room kind of reminds me of a prison. There are white cement walls, and I can't really hang picture frames on...

Swappah.

I have a five hour ride home today, kiddies! There's no Christmas music on yet, I forgot my pillow, and you can only play iSpy for so long, so I figured what better time is there for a comment swap?Twisted and Broken ThingsI'm really not picky, but there are a few suggestions I'd like to make.Numero uno: No slash please.Dos: Fan fiction is a-okayTres: You get what you give.Finalmente: My story is...

I found the one<3

So I've been in Baltimore, Maryland since Saturday, because my Uncle was going to take me to a Ravens game for a very belated birthday present. It doesn't matter that my birthday was September first and the game was yesterday; it was the most wonderful day of my life. The Ravens won, which is always exciting, and we had the most amazing seats. They were right behind the goal post and four rows...

I feel accomplished.

Thanks to voting day, I don't have school today. Pretty excited, because today has been a successful day so far.I spent the night at Emily's house with a couple of my other friends last night, and usually, sleep overs make me feel blah. I really don't like them all that much. But last night we watched Gossip Girl, and Kenzie didn't even complain. I was impressed. And usually it gets awkward at...

She is an evil lady.

There are a lot of reasons that I could complain about my mother for. Some of them are pretty serious, but usually, I like to complain about the petty ones. For sixteen years, this woman has shied from any sort of parenting. But she gets this boyfriend like a year ago, and she's Hitler now. So we're driving home after a family therapy session (where her therapist totally chewed her out for me),...

Why are they being so mean to the leprechaun?

So I'm watching the episode of Glee from last night, and these kids are being a*sholes to the poor transfer student from Ireland. And the one cheerleader seriously believes he's a leprechaun....I can't even. If someone actually behaved like that, I think I'd probably have to check myself in to a ward of some kind. The company would be much better. On a different note, I stayed home from school...

Zombie.

That is what I feel like right now. I woke up at seven this morning to take the ACT, came home and took an hour nap, and now have to work from three to eleven. I'm telling you, zombie. I just keep looking at my cat, who is sleeping, and thinking, "Lucky bastard."In other news, as of yesterday the football team is undefeated, I finished my application to Otterbein, and have not been to the gym in a...

I lost my voice

Last night was so amazing. We played a school who's not technically a rival, but it was probably the biggest game of the football season.I was kind of hummed in the beginning because the student section was packed, and I was annoyed that I had to wear Cory's jersey but I actually had a nice time with my mom during the first half. Sometimes she's really funny and says things like, "Hey! Cory's...

Football season + sparkly bras + gimme something to read

This was a long day, but I've only been up for like eight hours. I spent the night at a friend's last night, and after we tried and failed to watch Elvis and Annabelle online (YouTube only had the first twenty minutes -_____-), we went to bed for like four hours. Then I came home and slept till two.So, then I was at the mall with two of my friends today, and we happened to wander in to Victoria's...

Ouija boards.

So a while ago, my friend Mara and I went to Toyrs R Us because she desperately wanted a ouija board. Not sure why, but that's besides the point. Anyway, they were sold out so then she turned to eBay.She got her ouija board a week or so ago, and today when we stopped at her house so she could grab some clothes because she was spending the night, she came running out with the box as well. Not a big...

Chicken salad + a comment swap

I worked for like seven hours today, and at any point in the evening I could have made myself a delicious chicken salad sandwhich. But I didn't really think about it until I got home and said chicken salad was no longer readily available -_____- A little upset at you, tummy.Let's have a comment swap. I'll swap Twisted and Broken Things for just about anything. I'm not picky (:So, is anyone else...

Aside from Warped...

So, my friend and I were looking at tickets for Warped today, and I was totally pumped since the date is like a week and a half away. Until I noticed that tickets are $47.35. Thank you, Kevin Lyman -_____- The price wouldn't bother me if I wanted to go for more than five bands, two of which I've seen before. So we decided that maybe it just wasn't worth it this year. But without Warped, I feel like...

I feel like a terrible person.

Do you ever feel like you shouldn't be happy when you step back and consider an entire situation? I'm kind of having one of those moments. Yesterday morning I woke up and had to call 911 because my mom overdosed on prescription drugs. Since then, I haven't really thought about or felt any particular way about it all that much.I love my mom, and we used to be really close, but she's been having...

Mmm, Brendon Urie.

I keep thinking about all of the stuff that I have to do and then I realize, oh hey, it's summer. It just doesn't feel like it because you were on call for work all day and thus didn't go to a lake house or a beach or anything fun. No, you went grocery shopping with mommy. It's been a pretty crazy few days with school ending and finals and everything that's going on with my crazy mother. I love her...

Hey iTunes, I hate you.

I love my iPod dearly, but I can't stand iTunes. I swear every time I start it up to do something, I have to download some new version of one thing or another. It's so tedious.Anyone up for a comment swap? I'd really like some feedback on Twisted and Broken Things. If you're interested, just leave me a comment with the title. In other news, I went to see Red Riding Hood with my friend last night....

Water for Elephants

I read the book a while ago, and it was really amazing so I was excited that they decided to make a movie. I went to see it with my mom today, and I was still impressed. They didn't change the story all that much, and Robert Pattinson seemed like a worthwhile actor. Very good screen adaptation.Speaking of Robert Pattinson, I've been working on a new story idea lately that deals with vampires. But...

Why Are Actors on Kids' Shows Such Creeps?

My younger sister is watching Sesame Street or something like it, and these actors are just creepy. They're so overzealous and just way too into it.And I hate it when they show like close ups of mouths pronouncing words. Hello? Seeing the spit on your tongue isn't going to help little kids pronounce words. If I was trying to learn, I would definitely be distracted by the icky mouth.School starts...
