Hi. :) It's been a while since we've talked. I hope you've been alright. I myself have been pretty good. I'm leaving Mibba and I don't want to lose touch with you since you're so awesome and everything. :) I'd really like to be snail mail pen pals with you. If you want to do that, message me your address and I can send you off a letter and we can communicate that way. :) Or I could send you my address and you can write me first. I usually write first but that's just me.

Or we can e-mail each other if you'd prefer that. My e-mail address is: grandmalovesmex3@yahoo.com

I really hope to hear from you.

And did you hear that Jimmy Page won't let a Zeppelin Guitar Hero game come out? I love him so much more now! :)

Don't worry about the late reply. Everyone gets busy.
I've been crazy busy. My business has taken off rather well and that's eating up a lot of my free time.
Yesterday I went to a flea market and picked up a bunch of records, including Zepp's Physical Graffiti. I listened to it last night and I was like "WHOA!" the whole time. So, needless to say, that made me really happy.
I'm pretty happy with my local radio station because now they're doing a lot more request hours and they're playing all of this more obscure stuff that's totally amazing. :)
I've been reading a lot. I finished that Dylan book and I also read The Motorcycle Diaries and then I just got done with Running with Scissors, which was pretty awesome. I just started a Led Zeppelin biography called Stairway to Heaven and it's pretty good so far. :)
I went to the mall on my birthday and I was pretty scared at how much Twilight shit was there. I hadn't been to a mall since August, which was before the "Twilight phenomenon" hit. I bought the movie versions of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and The Motorcycle Diaries(which was in subtitles, but was very good.) And I also got this awesome Led Zeppelin T-shirt that I've worn pretty much every day (I wash it though!)
I'm finally getting towards the end of the school year and school in general. Finals are coming up soon so I'll be having a lot more work to do. I'm thinking about just not doing it at all, but I kinda want to make sure I graduate. :)
    How've you been?

Isn't it weird how one person can ruin so many songs and bands?
I'm a pretty big Van Halen fan myself. :) David Lee Roth was irreplaceable. He made Van Halen what it was and they wouldn't be where they are today without him. Plus, he's one of the sexiest things to walk this earth. I wish I could've went to see their reunion tour when it came into town, but I couldn't get tickets. :(
I've heard of The Subways and Belle and Sebastian. Unfortunately, I haven't heard too much of them. :(
Some other good, newer bands are MGMT ("Electric Feel" has a '70s vibe to it. More disco than rock, but it's still pretty good), Teagan and Sara and Death Cab For Cutie. :) I also really like Anthony Green. He's in this band called Circa Survive but he put out a solo album last year that was awesome. :)
I couldn't find I'm not There this weekend. :'( I have read more in Chronicles though. :)

I'm kind of on the fence about the replacement of Bon Scott in AC/DC. I mean, he had a great voice. But Brian seems to be working out pretty well and he's pretty cool. So I guess I'm okay with that.
I generally hate when band members get replaced. Especially when they replaced David Lee Roth with Sammy Hagar in Van Halen. That was probably the biggest mistake that band ever made.
The only Bad Company song I like is "Shooting Star." I love a bunch of Free songs. A few days ago I finally found out that Rodgers sings for Free and so that kind of ruined it for me. :/
    I know! It's like UGH!
I can understand why Robert doesn't want to do it, but it still makes me a little angry. Bonzo is irreplaceable, but I've heard that his son is a decent drummer, so who knows.
I've learned that! Someone who looks really nice can be the biggest jerk on the earth.
Maybe if Yoko had been shot, John would've stopped being such a creeper and might've become normal again. Highly unlikely though since the damage she did was probably permanent.
I'll definitely check those bands out! I'm always looking for some new music to listen to. :)
I think that your layout is fine the way it is. :)

Smoking will kill any voice. Period.
I've got a few Queen records and I listen to them all the time. Freddie's voice is just like "Whoa!" My favorite Queen songs are "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Get Down Make Love". I pretty much love every Queen song.
I don't like how they replaced Freddie with Paul Rodgers though. I mean, Paul's a good singer but will NEVER be as good as Freddie.
Yeah, my mom was incredibly lucky. Not only did she get to see Queen, but she also got to saw Elton John and Aerosmith, among others. I just seethe with jealousy.
If I could choose one band to see live, it would be Zeppelin. I was hoping that the rumors of a reunion concert were true, but then Robert had to be an ass and totally say no. :(
Yeah, that's what you could say. I think they liked fame too much to have it "threatened" by George. You'd expect Paul to be nicer though. He looks like such a sweetie.
That's a good quote. I wonder why that man that shot John didn't shoot Yoko. I know it sounds harsh, but she deserved to be shot instead of him. But we can't always get what we want.
Oh god. Now "You can't always get what you want" is stuck in my head. It's a good song though, so I don't mind. :)
All governments fuck things up. That's what they do.
Thanks. I really like it. Panic! at the Disco is probably the best band that's "new". I love their music. :)
What would you change it to?

That's what I plan on doing.:)
Robert's voice was pretty amazing in the early years. I think that he pretty much lost IT after Houses of the Holy. I've listened to some of his solo stuff and it's not that great, vocal wise. I do kinda like the stuff he's done with Alison Krauss though.
Yeah, Mercury is in first place. I just found out and I'm pretty happy about that. I love his voice. :) My mom saw Queen back in the day and I am so jealous about that.
Yeah, from what I heard Paul and John didn't even want to put George's songs on the records, which is quite mean. Paul wanted to put out pop songs and John wanted all of his songs on the record and didn't want to give anyone else the spotlight.
Phew! I thought I was the only one who didn't like Yoko. Everyone was like "John and Yoko were so cute together" and all sorts of stuff like that.
I feel really bad for John's first wife, Cynthia and their first son. He abandoned them at home while he went out and partied like a rockstar all over the world.
John was decent before Yoko came along. She ruined him.
Andy doesn't really get the recognition he deserves, even over here. One of my little brothers learned about pop art in his art class and they didn't even mention Andy! So I had to go and educate my brother on him.
Yeah, I just got done learning about the communists in my modern world studies class. They really seemed to fuck things up in the countries they ruled. The effects of their rule are still there?
Dylan is immortal. Nothing can kill him. It would be foolish for anything to even try.
I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up some movies and if I have enough money, I'll pick up I'm Not There, if they have it that is. They should though because the Best Buy I'm going to has, like, everything.
I can't wait to hear his new music. I already know that it'll be awesome though. Everything he does is amazing.
Close. I was born on the last day of April, the 30th. :)

Bulgaria is somewhere in Europe, isn't it?
My dad doesn't like Led Zeppelin and finds it fun to make fun of my favorite band. I ignore him most of the time and it seems to work out pretty well for me. :)
I think that Robert Plant is number two in the list of greatest vocalists that my local classic rock radio station is doing. It kinda sucks cause I was hoping he'd be number one.
I've never really gotten into George. I think it might be because no one hardly ever mentions him. I'm starting to like him though. :) "Within you Without you" is a really good song. Paul is adorable and I really do like his voice. He just seems too nice. I don't really like John though. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because of Yoko. I HATE her. >| So sorry if you like her.
Andy Warhol is amazing. :) He's really popular, so maybe your local library might have some books on him. It wouldn't hurt to check.
I listened to my Yardbirds CD last night. Very awesome indeed. :)
Dylan is master of the universe. No one will ever be as good as he is. I don't think that he'll ever die either. What or who would actually take something that magnificent from this earth?
I've only seen a small part of I'm Not There. I want to see the whole thing, but I need to find it on DVD somewhere. I can never find the things that I want.
Oh, did you hear that he's putting out a new CD in April? It comes out on the 27th, which is a few days before my birthday, so hopefully I can get it as a birthday present.
I'd also like to get a Jimmy Page action figure, but I don't know if that'll happen....

    Where do you live?
I buy most of my records at flea markets. :) I get some from other places, but it's cheaper to get them at flea markets. I've probably got like, a billion records. I still buy CDs and cassettes though.
Last weekend I was watching the Song Remains the Same and my dad totally started to diss Bonzo. I was like "Don't even go there." So then he started in on Jimmy and Robert. I got mad and went to my room to watch it in peace.
Personally, I think that Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band is their best album. I saw Abbey Road on vinyl at a store for, like, ten dollars and I didn't buy it. I kind of regret not getting it now. :(
Thanks. Isn't Ringo just the cutest?
I just bought a Yardbirds CD and I really want to listen to it, but I have to wait until this evening because I've got a bunch of shit to do. :/
I then went to a library booksale and, among other things, I bought a book on Andy Warhol that I checked out six months ago and never finished, so now I since I own it, I can finally finish it. :)
After I finish Chronicles: Volume One by Bob Dylan, of course.

I always have people ask me which Zepp song is my favorite and it's really hard. But I've thought about it this way: If I could only listen to one Zepp song for the rest of my life, which one would it be? And, of course, I couldn't live without "When the Levee Breaks."

Besides that song, I also like "Whole Lotta Love", "Black Dog", "Immigrant Song", "Stairway ot Heaven", "Kashmir", "Trampled Under Foot" and "Rock and Roll" a whole lot. :)

Over the last year or so, I've gotten almost every Zeppelin record ever made. I've got the second on CD and the others (with the exception of Presence and Physical Graffiti) on vinyl. I love listening to them. :)

Bonzo was a fucking madman with the drums. There will never be another drummer as good as he was. "Moby Dick" was just like WHOA!

How come no one ever mentions John Paul Jones? It seems like everyone always forgets about him. :(

It's hard to pick a favorite Beatles song, but following the conditions above, I couldn't live without "When I'm Sixty-Four" or "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" for that matter. I also love "Hey Jude", "I am the Walrus", "Revolution" and "With a Little Help from my Friends." I guess it's harder to pick one favorite song from the Beatles. I like their later stuff though.

I accepted your friend request, by the way. And I'll think that I'll end this comment before it gets too long and you end up hating me for writing so much. :)

    Hah.

What's your fave Zepp song? I love "When the Levee Breaks." :D
I don't have any of that shit. I used to, but then the computer took up all of my time and I deleted most of my accounts on those types of things. I like Mibba though. :)

    You're welcome.:)

I take it that your favorite classic rock band is Led Zeppelin. :) They're one of my favorites; tied in first place with The Who and Bruce Springsteen. :)

Nice layout by the way. 'Tis bitchin'. :D
