I definitely forgot about mibba until I received an email the other day notifying me that your story was recently updated. I'm glad that you have found new inspiration to continue writing again! I'm looking forward to reading your story once again :)

Cicadas can be incredibly noisy! I lived in Africa for a while and, maybe it wasn't Cicadas, but the insects would hammer it out all night every night! It's worse than living in the city. Kinda comforting at the same time in a weird way though.

Sounds like a really nice Christmas. We got snow! So it was my first White Christmas, that I remember. Have been sledging loads over the past few days. It wasn't proper sledging snow at first, but now it's awesome. Still not right for snowball fights though, sadly. ^_^

That's quite all right dearie, I'm sorry I haven't replied for so long. 'fraid I've been majorly busy with the school production. But I have now done all coursework and we have no more performances!

Wow, road trips and boating! Sounds awesome. I get to go to a tiny scottish island which only has three other houses on it for christmas. Should be interesting... possibly horror story inspiring.

Also, I meant to ask, have you been updating your story recently?
    I don't check my e-mail too often.

I want to try and work on it. But I don't know if you know about nanowrimo? It's national novel writing month and I gave it a try, so that's basically all I've been writing lately. I'm glad you like it so much, though. Maybe that will inspire me again.
I'm so jealous! I'm right in the middle of my senior year and it's basically hell! And it's getting really cold. :/ I always forget you have different seasons there. What months are your school year?
And YESYESYES I'm finally going to see Arctic Monkeys! I'm excited like NO OTHER. Actually there was this big drama over going, cause that night is my best friend's birthday, and she was all peeved like, "you're choosing to go to a concert instead of my birthday" blah blah blah. And then the concert tickets sold out in 45 minutes WHILE I was in the middle of buying. So then I took a big gamble and bought $150 tickets even though my best friend was REALLY mad. And then of course, they announced a second show on another night. So I resold my tickets for the first night and bought for the second night and everything's been sorted out. But it was this huge drama, lol.
It's in exactly two weeks. I'm excited.

No one gets my costume idea. When I tell them, they say," Like a mime?"
    Haha

Maybe you could be a vampire? I know, I know, not the most original thing in the world. It's the first thing I thought of that was pretty and scary. Maybe you could be an undead hooker. tehe

I'm going to 6th street. It's a street in the city where there's this unplanned block party-thing. People just kind of go out in their costumes and party. I'm being a mute ballerina.

Do you want to be something scary, or funny, or weird? That's what you should think of first.

Yep...you can. It's not common, but it's possible. Well, most genuis' go completely crazy anyway...it's depressing.

You're completely welcome. :) The story is worth it.

I away where the wild things are today....it was so fantastic! Have you seen it?

It's confusing, haha. College and University are the same here, they're synonyms.

Here, most start at 18. A lot of other countries go to college at 16, and it's optional, and then University at 18. However, if you're a super-genuis, you can start college as early as you want. Ha. You just have to have the SAT and ACT scores to get in.

Taxes go to many places here! Schools, roads, state government jobs, etc. It does not go towards paying your own personal tuition though. You can get payment plans and financial aid here, but I hardly think the tuition would ever have to be paid in full, up front. It's too expensive, and way less people would be attending college.

Scholarships are awarded by application or programs, and that's when you get part of your fee's paid. My teachers son just got a full scholarship to Princeton, from the school itself. THAT does not happen a lot, especially since Princeton is an ivy league school.

Do you guys start college at 16, like in England?

Haha, I've had more Alex Turner conversations on Mibba than I have in real life. But alas, the real world doesn't always know good music like the internet does.

Twice!?!?! :-O -jealous- Well, I consider myself lucky to have seen them once, their tickets sell out quick in these parts. Humbug? While a lot of people didn't like it as much as the last two, I'm loving it more each day.
