About me
Who: Lozzie Lizbeff // When: 15th September 92 // Where: Middlesbrough UK // Why: To escape
.
I'm just a girl who likes to write things down. Imagination is scary and beautiful and wild and free - I use mine far too much and not enough all at once. I take photos of silly things just to capture them, just in case I'll never see it happen again. I save random, unimportant things just in case I need them in the future, even though I never do. I'm good at giving up except when I need to the most - I should change my name to apathy. It has a certain ring to it. I live for laughter and think being able to make someone laugh is the best talent in the world. I can't function properly unless I have at least two pints of coffee a day, and I wish that was an exaggeration. I'm bad with compliments - I can't really remember a time when I wasn't. I pull faces in photos because I don't like my smile. I'm very much a Doctor Who fan, but couldn't tell you anything about the Classic stuff. Music keeps me breathing.

Poems

Hollow
About: I get many people trying to cheer me up and when I don't, they get upset and think I'm not trying hard enough to see the brightness in the world. This was more about getting those feelings of frustration and guilt out onto the page.
Type: Free-verse

Glory and Sunlight
About: I've been toying with images of light a lot lately, as that's what comes to mind when I see or think of the subject of this poem. The moth and Icarus images are by-products of that and the idea of being drawn in beyond reason.
Type: Free-verse

My Best 'I'll Never Know'
About: Like everyone else I have regrets about past relationships, and this one in particular gets me ruminating on a regular basis. I don't want to make excuses or go back to the way we used to be - I just want to say sorry for everything.
Type: Free-verse

The Sky Has Turned Vanilla (In the Mirror)
About: This one is hard to describe because it's just a collection of ideas and metaphors that somehow accidentally fell into what I think is the best poem I've ever written. I've been trying to replicate it ever since I wrote it.
Type: Rhyme
