I am Julia. currently i am writing a book called "the clouds of solei" periodically i will post clips of the book, but not whole chapters (to prevent copyrighting). i also am working on a series of stories that will appear called "the philosopher's guild." it is a comical and whimsical tale of three philosophers, Edith Whipple, Bartholomew Tanner, Phineas McGregor, and edith's young ward, Tabitha Sweetbriar. unfortunately, Edith, Bartholomew, Phineas, and Tabitha are the laughing stock of the philosophical world. in a desperate last attemot to prove that they are more that a comical outlet for the other philosophers, the four philosophers set out on a journey to discover the meaning of life, because a philosopher's job is only to sit and ponder life. the clouds of solei is about a child named sophie who was orphaned at birth. her mother gives bith at the young age of ninteen, and the mother's dying wish is that a nurse called andrew raise her child. as sophie grows older, a frightful prophect begins to unfold. at the time of her birth, sophie's mother told andrew of the prophecy, and in order to prevent it from happening, andrew told sophie nothing of her past, and seperated her from all knowledge of her mother, hoping she wouildn't find her past. but, something happened that andrew did not expect. sophie's past finds her. sophie's mother was queen of a unknown race of pale skinned, fair haired people that reside withing the clouds. their civilaztaion has been under seige from a deadly virus cause by pollutants in the air. this civilization waits with fading hop for their 100th queen, who ,the prophecty tells will bring them deliverance from the epidemic. that queen is sophie. Sophie becomes unconsciously drawn to the clouds. once every ten years a tree grows and provides passage to the city in the sky. this year that tree will grow, and once sophie begins to climb, there is no going back.
