  • Thanks. I'm doing great now. I'm not having anymore suicidal thoughts. My medication is working wonders! I have a much better perspective on life. It's quite nice. :)
My first Gay Straight Alliance meeting was last night but the teacher who runs it wasn't there so we just did our own thing. I haven't told anyone in there that I'm a lesbian. However, I did tell my mom last night. I didn't know how to say it at first but then she said it. Our conversation wasn't all that positive at first. I think she didn't believe me but the more I talked, I think the more she understood. She just worries how the rest of the world will act toward me. I'm not going to go broadcast it or anything but I would like to be out to some people. :)

  • oh my gosh! that sounds like so much fun, oh my gosh. high school's definitely a challenge with all my honors classes, but i absolutely adore it. its definitely been a lot easier, and i'm a lot happier than i've been in the past year or so. it's just ... perfect.

  • no problem! I truly loved it

  • Well I don't think I'll hate school anymore. Monday night, I was admitted to a mental hospital. I just got out yesterday. They discovered I have a mood disorder. It might be bipolar but it's too early to tell. I'm on meds now. I'm now optimistic about life! :D
And I'm glad you're stepping out of your comfort zone and finding new friendships. That's always difficult to do.
And thanks! It's a way different shade than the picture I have now but it's still an intense purple!

  • Thanks. It is pretty nice.

  • What's your first lecture? I bet you're taking really fun classes hahaha.

  • Aw well that's good! None of my friends that are girls are very supportive. Well at least that how it seems to me. If I even hint at it, the conversation seizes and becomes extremely awkward for them. But I do have a guy friend that actually loves it. I guess its that same concept with why girls love having gay guy best friends.
And my first week was okay. I was out sick the second day. But I hate school with such a strong passion. I never have a good day. How about you?

  • Thanks. That's cool, my mom used to want to be a teacher. I'm currently undeclared, but want to do either Family Ministry or Youth Ministry. Along with English or Journalism at the University (literally) across the street when I start that next year.

  • Still, though. It's basically free reign! What kind of ice breakers did you do? And still, be excited! you're a freshman right?

  • I wasn't raised religous, not in the least bit lol
My boyfriend and family are Catholic and I really can see the positive influence that religion had in their lives and continue to have in their lives. It's a great thing in my opinion and who knows, maybe one day I will be Catholic too. :)

  • No problem with that. :) I know people who were raised going to church, a few of them went to a Christian school too and are going to a Christian college. God just found me though. Been hooked ever since. ^_^ I'm going to a Christian college right now actually.

  • Oh we played that game too in choir on one of our first days! Hehe. Thank God one of the girls didn't say that! All the ghetto people would look at me all gross-like. But whatever. And I'm glad you weren't afraid to not go along with everyone else. :) Accepting yourself is so important. Once I accepted myself as a "lipstick" lesbian, I felt so much better about myself. :D

  • Oh my gosh, so it's basically like free reign and then you get straight to work? That would tease me endlessly haha. but don't be nervous, you're doing to do great!
    September 11th, 2011 at 12:27am
  • I was actually not raised Christian. :) Well, my parents were EC (Easter, Christmas going) Christians (Easter, Christmas going). But that's basically it, they went to some churches when I was really young but didn't stick with it... Anyway, I wasn't raised in a Bible-reading, church going, Christian family.

  • I get what you mean about 'nothing' being kind of depressing, but it depends on how your perspective, I guess. I've thought a lot about it, everything it implies, and I'm fairly neutral about it. Even a little... happy. It's kind of hard to explain. But yup. :)

I think the idea of reincarnation is really interesting, though. If I could get myself to really believe in any concept of life after death, in any form, it'd probably be reincarnation. :)

  • That's what I've heard as well. I plan on joining clubs once I find some I'm interested in. But where I live, there's lots of scholarships for our standardized tests as well as sports and academics and nationalities and all this. It's really quite cool.
And thank you(: It's going great, I love it. How's college for you?

  • One quote I always live by is "Labels are for cans of tuna, not people." I believe the heart wants what the heart wants. Gender isn't always necessarily a factor. And my weeks has been good. I started high school yesterday. It was pretty... boring. But I'm home sick today. :/ How about you?
    September 7th, 2011 at 07:56pm
  • thats just crazy. honestly, that's pure and utter insanity and i would probably die just hearing or seeing that number on paper. i'm kind of praying for a full scholarship lol.

and thank you! everyone says that. maybe it's because i'm mature for my age, i suppose :P

  • My mom kind of wove a prejudice about bisexuals into me too. She doesn't believe in bisexuality. But I think writing a story about it is really great. When I wrote my story with my character (who actually represents me) being a lesbian, I felt much more comfortable about the thought of that actually being me. It's a long process. It takes some people years and years to fully accept it. Don't feel bad about it.
