I wrote this on someone else's profile, so I'm jsut copying it, but: I dislike Gerard because of an incident that happened at a concert in which a lot of fans pushed too hard to try to get up to the front of the stage and caused an entire section of people to fall on each other. A girl broke her leg in that mess. Gerard had this to say to the crowd: "If you can't handle it, get the fuck out!" which I could see if if were a mosh pit of something similiar to that, but this was something a little more serious, out of control, and dangerous.

Plus, I think he (and the rest of MCR) rips off other musicians.

I appreciate your comment, and I apologize for making it seem like I hate all MCR fans and think that they're crazy. When I said "you guys" It's a general thing as in "most of you." I know that every band has crazy fans, but there are some bands that definitely have different kinds of fans. MCR fans are crazy, and I'm not necessarily meaning that in a bad way- I think it'd be cool to see people go absolutely nuts over music like that. I just see a lot of fans being a bit too pushy and easily annoyed though. I'm an ex-MCR fan, I know how it is, and I know how crazy people can be.

Now, with AFI fans, typically we don't act like that. We're fierce about our guys, but we do not get crazy like other fans of bands get. AFI fans are a bit more rational, can take some humor and get over it, and aren't going to get crazy angry when someone says, "I hate AFI."

I mean, a few days ago, I commented on a video on YouTube that was making fun of Gerard, and I didn't like the video. I said, "I dislike Gerard too, but this was really lame." I got about 30 messages telling me to shut the fuck up, don't listen to MCR if I hated Gerard so much, and a few "I hope you die" lines. Now do I believe all MCR fans are like that? No. I have a few very close friends who are crazy over MCR, and they wouldn't ever do that. I do see that irrationality happening a bit more than I see more rational things, though. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm just being a bitch, it's just the way I see it.

I know you weren't writing about fans, but when you talk about feuds between bands, a lot of times, you get fans that get involved with other fans and turn one little thing into something huge. It's not all the fans' fault- I blame the media for a lot of things, but the fans do help provoke things sometimes... if that makes sense.

As far as Bert and Gerard go, like I said in your journal, I don't know what happened. I just see Bert and Gerard as being best friends, Gerard cleaning up, no more pictures/stories of Bert and Gerard hanging out, and then stories of them disliking each other because Gerard didn't want to be around Bert anymore. I wasn't meaning to say that I take Bert's side, because if it is true, I agree with Gerard's decision to not be around that, but at the same time, I don't like the idea of leaving a friend when you could just try to help them instead. But not everyone wants help. Basically, I don't find fault in either of them, and I don't dislike either of them because of that.
