Lol, yeah, ECG reading is hard. I can read some rhythms, like sinus rhythm and atrial fibrilation, but some of them are hard to read. But as nurses, we don't really have to know how to read them unless we're in specialty areas like Coronary Care or something like that.

I saw a tiny baby when I did a prac in a cardiac ward at a children's hospital. It was 6 weeks premature and had a full head of hair... it was so cute, but very alien-like.

In the ER I was taking ECGs (also can be called EKGs), hooking patients up to monitors, assessing patients... I was even asked if I wanted to cannulate, but I've never done that before, so I didn't... although I did give quite a few injections and put up quite a few IV medications.
