But that doesn't mean He isn't with is every day and revealing His intentions to us. The only thing I ever said about 'knowing how He thinks' is that He doesn't want to control our free will. I'm not pretending to know how He thinks. I'm stating a fact. We. Have. Free. Will.

I do not mean this in any hateful way what so ever. I just want to express me opinion. I am a very devout Catholic as my good real life friend MK. I understand what she is saying. It is her opinion and her point of view. You are right that we can not know what God is thinking. I get that. THe point that is trying to be made here is that a good Catholic's faith is what drives them. I am driven by my faith in God. It helps me make EVERY choice in life. MK is expressing her faith by telling people what she thinks is being said by God. You will dont and wil never understand where we are coming from withut a strong faith in God. Sorry, but thats the truth.

We can't fathom God's mind, but we know that God doesn't want to control our free will because we [i]have[/i] free will! You know that you make decisions for yourself of your own accord every single day.
We didn't make God up as an excuse for things that would be hard pressed to explain otherwise. God. Created. Men. We didn't pop into existence because of evolution.
And knowing that the world is round and what's above us is all very evasive. The literal witnesses to Jesus Christ's presence on Earth wrote down what they experienced with Him. It wasn't put together until many years later, but everything from the Bible was originally written at the time it occured.

Right now it's 1.46 pm.

God doesn't want to control our free will. He may have something in mind for all of us, but those types of things are happiness and success. We are allowed to make our own choices because He loves us and wants us to love Him on our own terms.

I don't even know if I support the stupid death penalty or not, I guess each side of the argument is equally reasonable. I had to chose one side or the other, though, for the essay and everyone else was doing against so I thought I'd be a big rebel and do pro :p

Fair enough, I suppose, but it does seem kind of hypocritical to me that you celebrate the holidays that are meant for Jesus' birth, Jesus' Resurrection, The eve of all Saints say, the feast day of St. Valentine, and the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.

You keep talking about this animal intelligence crap, and I won't have any of it. Instinct allows animals to do all of that - it's not that hard to understand. When they catch a cat, and let it go, it's because their instinct is telling them that the feline is their natural enemy, it would be bad for the dog if he didn't let it go.
I think it's your turn to come up with something better than "Well, you don't have any proof he exists." What proof do you have that he doesn't exist?
I have the Bible, for example. It's called the truth or the Word of God for a reason, not just because some crazy whacko made it up once upon a time.
