  • Damn girl! I'm just starting to read your stories and can't get enough!!!!

The sheer volume of chapters alone is just mind boggling. Way to go on being such an amazing and productive writer :D

You can go to the first comment on the second page of comments for my full explanation for suddenly abandoning the story. I will get back to the story as soon as I can though :)

  • Yeah, ive been to see a lot of Adeline street projects, most notably seeing a lot of Emily's Army...it's one of the many benefits of going to my college, you get to hear about all the really cheap gigs! haha...but a heads up (if you havn't already heard) a new Rudies has opened!! It's awesome! but be prepared for que's! haha I recently went to an emily's army gig and did bump into Billie Joe....its dead sweet to see him support his kid! xx

  • Seriously, i'd swap anyday, as long as you take my work with you! haha...
Now before you come on over on your Green Day missh...i must forewarn you we do cater for the nobheads who take advantage of this. To put it more simply we have individuals who like to hold "green day tours" and will charge you a lovely fee of about $40...yey! you'll be thinking but they are a SCAM! They'll take you a fucking warehouse and be like, so this is where they played and then just leave you there...it happens so many times. Honestly chick, there are only a few places to go; gilman (take the bus or BART, bus is easier but BART's cheaper...or even higher a cab!) then you've got the warehouse in Oakland (but its such a rough neighbourhood...people get shot there loads, so be very careful) then you have Claremont Hills....now, i've never been myself in search for them but I've been up to a house party up there and legend has it, Billie Joe lives up there. Obviously, you deffo need to go to the Bay Bridge but that means you leaving Oakland completely and heading towards the otherside of San Frans..Now, you can always go pop over to Rodeo to go find Billie's mom...its true, i've met her and she just walks around and acts like one of your friends mom's...it's so great! You can always visit Pinole HIgh but all you get is bratty little shits coming out. I went there to do a talk on going to college for extra credit and it was like soo scary. but on the music room door there is a tribute to Billie. You wont be able to drink which is bummer but plenty of 'certain' shops are around the area, specially in Berkley which can offer you a sneaky sommet sommet! ha. OHHH and i can't beleive i forgot...FOX OAKLAND THEATER...I know Joey's band are starting out in the bay, so if you get a chance make sure you go see them play!! Adrienne also has a little boutique in san fransisco, she doesn't always work there but she can sometimes be around...I have tons more to tell you. like special hot spot and I can give you slight oaklanders way of getting around because if you don't know the tricks of the town, you can end up spending zillions of dollars!

  • Ohh that’s good, what were you studying? I am an American…I’m originally from San Francisco (just off the outskirts of the actual city) but I jumped the bay a year ago after graduating high school and headed to college. I go to Berkley and I’m currently doing History and Anthropology! So when I said about you grabbing the image of the Berkley punk underground I was really amazed at it because you do see the ruins of what was probably a mecca for the underground punk scene. I would love to come to England though, I mean I’d love to see the cities like London, Manchester and Liverpool but I would just love to see more of the urban areas which make England, England. I think its just the anthropologist within me that likes things like that though. You said you were from Yorkshire…are you near the Leeds area or further away like near Hull? My friend went on an exchange for a year to England and went to Leeds festival, she said it was like Lollapaloza!

  • well i thought you deserved the comment, three stories isn't easy to do and i felt a little nostalgia when reading it. I wish i still had the same patience and effort in writing as you do, shame i was made to become somewhat boring piece of shit...haha. But hopefully, if arrive alive and well from this exams, I'm planning on dedicating some of my time to blistfully enjoy writing whatever pops into my head.....AND I will surely pop on over to Jess....(by any chance...is she THE jess?) haha So your from england...thats cool, do you go to school or something?

  • ANYWAYS....I'm a little slow on the uptake for reading due to schooling factors which I'm sure i don't need to go into but....what on earth do you do? The 'friggin' tension just ouuzes out of this story like a melted twinkie. You have a real talent for, not necessarily enforcing an emotion but more persuading the reader to have this gut wrenching, even heart warming effect. And i must give praise in the fact that your sex scene (As said before, 'tasteful') don't follow this dribbled out old shit that you see again and again and again...you hit the nail on the head with it, you get down to what goes on, like this passion that is messy and fucking inexperienced. I must also must applauded you on dealing with 'pregnancy' issue in the first story, very mature and didn't 'let’s say' make the issue look hunky dory and that all of sudden, Billie was going to drop his plans and Scarlett was going to quit her dream without even a hint of resentment...it gives me faith that not all girls think a baby in a relationship is a deal breaker...if you understand. What else do i like....well....I also like how you have got this underground punk thing down, you highlighted how 'community based' and not so 'anarchist' punk was in the east bay...let’s face it, only people who were there 'EBPM' would know but as far from anything I’ve read, yours is very very believable. The dynamics between your characters are also very intriguing to read...you have a sense of 'if she turns this story all...Tre based or Mike Based...ect ect, i would have just as much enjoyment in reading it. (Al be it, I’d be a little disappointed that my inner fangirl would no longer read in comparable(s) to Scarlett) Feck it. haha AND (oh god here comes another also) ALSO, what the mothertrucking is everyone doing NOT commenting...you know it real does take the cookie, you slave away and they give you squint back, you can either choose to; 1)stop in protest writing but piss off your fans who have or 2) write, write, write. Obviously you'll have seen those fans who have stayed consistent, yey for them but what i don't get is, if people 'hate it' and choose not to comment (remember what mommy says, if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all") then why the hell do you still get the same consistent number of people reading and subscribing...I have been a mibbian for the past five years..(an old timer) yet the question still remains but whatever you do, make sure you are writing because you enjoy it, not because of the fans. Once you start writing for them, you can instantly tell in yourself that its no longer fun but work! (hence me having a six months time out from here!!)

  • Hello fellow Mibbian, fellow Green Day (dare i say) ette...Pardon me on this very abrupt and random comment but I'd like to just say how fascinating I'm finding your trilogy (starting with 'Good Riddance) is. After having several months off from Mibba reading and a hell of a long dry spell in the creative department (jeee, this is sounding more perverse as it goes) I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this as the first bit of literature i caught my eye on.
Now from the odd bits of author notes that I have read...I just want to reassure you that no matter how many times you get knocked back on here, you ALWAYS have a fanbase that will demand otherwise. My story i posted a mere year ago has been reported several times and even was criticised by the, let’s say ‘Illuminati of Mibba’. And as for the 'smut'/’sex scenes’/’R’ ....I'd like to congratulate you on keeping it tasteful and not at all a typical 'Mills and Boons scripture' after all sex isn't always 'picture perfect' as they say and how some writers can fall fatal of doing so. It can ruin the mood that they have spent so long perfecting! I can feel in what I have read so far the enjoyment and down to earth emotion you put into it...I also like the 'curve balls' you throw into it, it could be just due to me being naive but I find those parts increase tensions or emotions and can be very relatable in the sense. Anyways obviously once I complete the trilogy (of which I have subscribed too) I will update you through more of these comments.

    AND FUCK WOW.

  • I wouldn't like to censor it, I tried deliberately to put less *ahem* sexy stuff in and instead cut from where it begins to be insinuated. But yeah, all of the drugs and most of the swearing is there to add to the story, I mean, half of Laney's past is based on the drugs trade. :L It depends what the mods say, as per.
13 year olds? :O You shouldn't just to have to censor just because a particular age group may be reading: if you put out warnings and rate it as 'R' then there's nothing more you can do. :)
