Thanks for the comment on Vivid Emerald :) It's not insensitive at all. Really. So many people have thought of much more terrifying things (vampires, rabid dogs, etc.) and it turns out it's a harmless duck? Yeah, kinda funny :) Glad you enjoyed reading it!
