• I completely agree with all that. I mean, every story in some way or another is some sort of cliche- it's just how you write it and twist it that makes all the difference. John just happens to fall in the stories where people haven't reached that ability yet.

I absolutely LOVE antique stores. I have no idea why- actually that is a lie, I do. I love the smell of secondhand stores. Also the fact that the object has been through something and holds a memory just makes me smile. True. Americans are just lazy in general, haha. Oh god, I was flashing through one of the new dictionaries lying in the house and died. Literally, most of the definitions were just a sentence or fragment. What has the world come to. Actually, I guess society has just dumbed down a bit and dictionaries have had to stoop to that level so most people can comprehend the poor souls.

Yes, I did notice you posted Equilibrium. Yep, I freaked as stated in my comment, haha.

• Definitely understandable. I honestly don't think you will overdo it. I think that this sequel will be done tactfully and tastefully!
January 3rd, 2011 at 08:22am
• YES.
I'll post an actual comment later. I'm thrilled I got the first comment. When I saw I did, I cackled for a bit, negl.

I'm so happy you're writing, bbdoll. flskgj seriously.
In case my caps posts on tumblr didn't cover it.

• Hahahah! I know that it's about them, just oh my god, I had no idea that this was a possibility.
January 3rd, 2011 at 08:03am
• God, look at me ramble. I apologise that you have to digest all of that information, haha!

• Tila Tequila is awful, but I did learn some very interesting facts about some court case I didn't actually care about. I also found a picture of her completely stark naked. Scarred for life, I swear to God. I do the same though, whenever I have a deadline coming up, I switch my internet off. It's kind of sad that those are the lengths we're reduced to these days, isn't it? Haha.
If I'm honest, if you live in New York you can probably fight your way through Europe, and especially England. Travelling on your own would be pretty intimidating though, to say the least. I would be the same as you, haha.
Haha, well I don't drink (not for any I'm-better-than-you-reason like people always seem to think when I say that, just because I really hate the taste of alcohol) so I'll avoid that. I'm quite scared about Uni to be honest, I don't know if I'm quite grown up enough to go yet- but it may just be I've tried to convince myself of this fact so I can use it as an excuse if I don't get in anywhere, like "Oh, I didn't actually want to go to Uni quite yet, I'm going to earn some money and everything first" kind of excuse. I've got the grades to get in to all of my choices, it's just the interviews I'm particularly scared about. I think your description of hemorrhage and television re-runs will just about do me fine.
Oh wow. Erm, a t-shirt is a t-shirt... Honestly, I have no idea what you would call it in America, I didn't even know it wasn't an American thing. Like, a short sleaved shirt, with no buttons or extra details on the front, apart from any print. I looked it up on Wiki (yes, yes, how lowerclass of me...) and I think it might be called a 'tee' in America? Haha, well I'm sure that there are things about English phrasing that sound completely messed up to you, haha :)
Okay... so what's middle school? I know your high school is equivalent to our college, and then your college = our University, but that's all I know. We have Reception from 4-5 and then year 1 from 5-6 and so on until year 6, then you leave one school and start another, and carry on years 7-11. Then college at 16, and Uni at around 18. See, in my head, it sounds simple, but when I wrote it out it is actually pretty complex sounding, haha.
That actually sounds amazing. Huge bookstores and flea markets and amazing coffee sounds perfect. I think my stereotypical English dream holiday to New York has finally kicked in, haha. Do you like living there?
Aww see, you made it sound so nice, but if you saw it your reaction would be so different. Living near farms means that you have to constantly put up with the smell, and fields means that everything gets waterlogged and we generally end up with more water damage than the average town would. I love the English accent, but mine sounds very little like the typical London accent. I sound more like a farmer. :]
My idea of far away is moving from England to Wales, so probably not really in terms of where you moved from and to. My first choice is a Uni that's less than three hours away. I think that's far enough so my family won't feel compelled to bug me every weekend, haha.
Oh god, that sucks. Seeing that kind of girl is never a good experience, I couldn't imagine it drunk as well. Did it result in violence? Not basing than on personal experiences or anything... (:
It was alright. I was working from half six in the evening until one in the morning at the pub I work at, so I spent the majority of my time making cocktails and Jagerbombs, but I did earn £60 for one evening of work, so I would never complain about that.
January 3rd, 2011 at 12:55am
• :O yes, you should do it :). You know that I'd read it anyway :D
Ahh, distracted is my middle name. I'm terrible if I get hold of the Internet. There's just no telling what I will find and spend hours reading for no good reason. The other day it was Tila Tequila's website. I don't even know how I found it, but I wish I could get those forty minutes of my life back. I'm glad we're in the same boat in that sense, haha.
Spontaneous travelling sounds pretty good though, maybe do it after college? And yessss, it is pretty much awful in every sense of the word. At the moment, all of my applications are sent off, but now I have to wait. Waiting to hear back is the worst part. I've convinced myself that I won't get in and I'll have to do another gap year while all my friends bugger off to Uni, haha.
Haha, a jumper is a sweater :) If it helps, American words are occasionally just as confusing to me, but we seem to get most Americanisms over here. Just not with schooling, apparently. I mean, who's idea was it that we would both have an education stage called college but they would mean different things? And man, I have never got the American 'grade' system, haha.
Ooh that's cool, is it cool living in New York? Pretty sure NYC is everyones idea of an amazing holiday over here, but I've never been myself.
I live in England, in the South West area. Basically, where I live is probably the opposite to New York. Farms, fields for miles, etc. The most industrial place in my village is the cheese factory, which, as you can probably assume, is so far from exciting it's unreal :).
Did you have a good New Year?
January 2nd, 2011 at 11:14am
• Ah, that's refreshing to here. I'm glad because that means there is even a more likely chance for the sequel, yay, haha. Oh, of course ;) I mean, what with cringing-want-to-drown-yourself worthy plots including John that have invaded Mibba. Sometimes I just want to question peoples' writing abilities when I read some stories.

Hahahaha, nice. Aw, well that sucks, but I guess when you do go back to your other home closer to that place, you can get another one. Fact. It is rather amusing when you compare definitions. Sometimes they go from being so elaborate to simple which makes you think how lazy the world has gotten, haha.

• I am just ljkdfalkjsfnkjsdnfsa so satisfied with life now. :D
January 1st, 2011 at 05:53am
• That just made my day! I'm not ready to let Emelie and John go- i'm selfish, sorry. I just saw that you collect old dictionaries and smiled. My grandfather does the exact same, makes for easy Christmas presents, haha.
January 1st, 2011 at 12:52am
• Well if you don't want to write Crumble... CAN I KNOW ALL THE SECRETS?
January 1st, 2011 at 12:40am
• Well, it is the truth. That story is complete brill.
Ah, really? How exciting! I totally can't wait for what is next for Emelie and John. You should write that sequel ;)
Pft, I think the chances of me getting bored with that story are very slim. I'll probably go back and read it in a few weeks, haha.

• OMG I FORGOT ABOUT YOUR OLI STORY. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN.
GOOD LORD.
Omg also Hey, Darling... Don't even remind me lmao. I just want to love all over it again.

• Josh stories are looooads of fun to write, mainly because it's Josh :) He does a lot of the hard work for me, haha. And yeah, I've never done a joint story before so I'll see how it goes! :) And yeah, that's why I never mind waiting for any stories to be updated. I'd rather have a good chapter that the writer enjoyed and wait a week than a forced out chapter, when the writer clearly hated writing it, even if that only takes a day. I don't know if what I just said made sense but I'm gunna have to roll with it because changing it on my phone would take me a week.
Eek, I haven't quite got there yet. I took a half gap-year I guess, so I'm still in the process of applying for Uni. Writers block is bad enough now though, I have four history essays to get done before Monday and I've done nothing :/
So, I'm completely guessing you live in America due to the difference in words when talking about Uni (college for you? Why must these differences be so confusing...), where abouts do you live?
December 31st, 2010 at 10:49am
• Awh bro! I miss you too! But I'm still writing, and you better be too! I have Wishlist, and I'm working on Sol, and let me tell you, college is not getting my soul. They're getting my money, and that's enough.
I do miss bribes and summer stories though. God, doesn't it feel like forever ago? WE'RE GETTING OLD.
December 31st, 2010 at 08:40am
• Ahh yeah, I know what you mean! I generally like reading stories where you can get on the side of the main characters, it just makes it easier and more fun to read I guess?
I don't think it'll be my last! I'm starting a joint story with my friend at the moment, so we'll see how that goes! I think I'm going to start another solo one pretty soon. And I'm pretty sure it'll involve Josh, if I can get past his character in Turbulence, haha. But thank you so much for saying you like it :D
Haha you don't sound like a comment whore! Everyone enjoys story comments, so I can understand that :) As long as you're enjoying writing it though, that's the main thing. :)
I've gotta cut down my word count, is my only worry. Like, I'm all for long chapters, but I'm on nearly 5000, which is just taking the piss a little :P
Ahh that's okay. The writing rut is deadly, haha.
December 31st, 2010 at 12:02am
• Ps. Sorry for the essay, I didnt even realise I'd wrote that much. :|
December 30th, 2010 at 10:24am
• Nawwh well thank you :D I'm glad she's a likeable character. I feel very much the same about Penny :)
Ahh, well Turbulence is the first story I've put on Mibba so I've not quite reached the point of having a certain number of readers. How many would you say you're used to?
I'm sorry it's ending just as you've found it by the way, haha. I really don't know how to work in Rosie's family deals well because I didn't just want to flat out write it there, it was hard to make it at least a little bit subtle haha. I might have to rework the next chapter so it explains it a bit more :)
I'm glad you said it inspires you, because another Oli update would be awesome, just sayin' ;)
December 30th, 2010 at 10:23am
• Thanks so much for your story comment, and I'm glad you like Rosie. :)
I have to say, I just read your Oli story, and I loved it. As I said in my story comment, your style of writing is exactly my cup of tea :D

• Better get used to the Guitar Center tool and the fucking shit up. :D
