So, I've just been reminded of this place, and how awesome a time I had here, and you were one of the people to make it that way. And I miss you <3 Just thought you should know. Hope life is awesome for you ^^

"The furthest inhabited island from Scotland is Stewart Island, which nestles at the foot of New Zealand's main South Island. Like the Sub-Antarctic Islands, Stewart Island is mainly a wilderness and a wildlife haven, but being larger and closer to the mainland it is easier to reach and boasts a thriving tourist industry. On the island's east coast, in the picturesquely convoluted Halfmoon Bay, there is also a small settlement, named (ironically) after a Scottish town. At 11,630 miles away (following the shortest possible curve around the Earth), Oban is probably further from Gairloch than any other village on Earth."

They make us sound like indigenous people! lmfao

I don't live there though. XD

I know all about procrastination. I have a research project that we had like a term on due in a week, and I haven't even started. lmfao FML. XD

Yuh, gonna get a biiig sleepout on the farm, unless my brother comes to live with us again. And if he does, I'll be pissed off because he's a complete and utter arse and all he does is talk shit about us, then he goes over to Mum and she just wants to be his BFF so she lets him have whatever he wants, and I try to tell her that it's just not fair, but nooooooo he's the best, apparently. Rolling Eyes

    /middle child syndrome

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates the sea! It's disgusting, right? And you get all sticky and ugh. D: Also, naked. I don't like swimming altogether because basically, you just wear uncomfortable underwear in public and flail around in a big puddle. Mmm... attractive.

    Families suck. XD

I have no bloody clue. XD It's gonna be really complicated moving in between houses though, because we're gonna have to live in a little building all together for a while, and I'm gonna be like "D: I hate you people!" but I won't be able to leave. :(

I'm sure you make Scotland a better place to be also. XD

I know what you mean about the modern buildings. I don't much like them myself. We have a few in the city centre, and that's it. XD

Sucks about your school though. Our school is pretty modern, because we keep getting more and more students, so we keep building new bits onto it. I don't mind though. It's pretty massive. XD

N'aw, Devon! :D That's where Muse come from.

    /fangirl

And and and New Zealand is basically a seaside town. XD I can't remember the stats, but apparently, when you're in New Zealand, the maximum possible number of kilometres away from sea that you are is '-insert small number here-'. I'll have to research that. XD But yeah. We have like two beaches by my city, and my city's the second biggest in New Zealand. XD

    What're the shoes like? Wow

I don't even open my curtains, because they all look out onto things where people are and I don't want people to see me. XD I can't wait to move to that farm thing - you've seen photos of it. ^^

Yeah, I live in New Zealand too - what a coincidence! :D It's awfully grey, but meh. XD

Seriously, Christchurch is like "I wanna be Europe! :D" and it tries to look like Europe. XD Mostly England, tbh, from what I've seen of it. And it's all grey. Except there's this one cute street where all the buildings are different pastel colours. It's adorable. XD

    Nomnom, chips. XD

Actually no, not any more for me, because I've just had breakfast (it's 2pm) and my tummy hurts. :(

    N'aw, you're a blondy now! :D That's awesome! Got any photos?

I've only got winter holidays. The weather's not actually that miserable. XD It was pissing down with rain for like a month before, but now it's all calm and stuff. I think it was actually sunny today, but I didn't really notice because I spent more time trying to get myself in order. XD

New Zealand is really not that great, you know. It's quite boring. There's nothing to do here, unless you wanna go shopping or to the cinema, or to a cafe, or anything else you can do in any other country.

I really feel like fish'n'chips for some reason... Just thought I'd say.

Sorry. This reply was super duper late. XD I didn't see your comment until a few days after you posted it and then I kept procrastinating and tada! I fail. >_<

And now, I have absolutely nothing to say. XD

    Umm...

I'm on holidays, and Mum's gone up North for five days and I'm sitting around doing nothing and not knowing what to do with myself. XD

I'm soooo coming up to Scotland some time. Con

BUT WHAT DOES 'THE NOO' MEAN? OH MY GOD, I AM KEPT IN THE DARK! Twitch D: Crazy

XD I always thought "Och. Aye." was just saying "Okay" with a Scottish accent. XD Oh my. /fail

The 'och' still has me kinda mindfucked, but okay. XD

In New Zealand, we just say "mate" a lot. XD And "bloody". Just basically everything you expect a British colony to say. Only we don't say "bollocks" and stuff. XD My music teacher does though, but he spent some time in England, so yeah.

Did you know I had to pledge allegiance to the Queen when I was getting my citizenship? That was really weird... I was like "=| So much for breaking away from Britain."

That's amazing about the hotels. XD The first time we saw each other, it was just like "WHOA THIS IS KINDA AWKWARD BUT WE MUST HUG IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! Twitch" and you parents were kinda like "Shifty File We don't know them. And if we do, consider us embarrassed. File" or something. XD

The church was on fire? That is bloody insane! Who set it on fire? Did you watch it burn? I'm all for atheism and Satanism and any religion and whatnot, but wtf? Setting a church on fire? That's just retarded! I don't go setting your house on fire. Don't go setting somebody else's place of fucking peace on fire! God, some people are so inconsiderate. >_<

I'm an atheist by the way, so it's not me saying that because I identify with the church or whatever. Because I don't.

    What denomination was it anyway?

Do you have to record your compositions? That's kinda weird. We just use Sibelius, and I usually write for like thirteen instrument group thingies. XD It's easier that way. But congratulations on getting it done. Did you do guitar and vocals? You could do it with your band as well. Con

Yeah, Somber Resplendence was based on Silver and Cold, but I just can't bring myself to write lately. I've been either tired or busy or both. =| Like right now. It's 1.20am, but I went to bed at 7pm, then woke up at 12.30 and couldn't get back to sleep. :( But I'm all sleepy and headachy. And I think I'm gonna skip the first four periods.

I have a jazz piano lesson in the afternoon, then a classical piano lesson in the evening. It's my first jazz lesson though. I'm quite interested to see how it'll turn out. ^^

As for Eccentricity, I'm sorry. XD I'll probably rewrite it with a better conflict than "DOES HE LOVE ME? Twitch" some time, also without living people.

And yeah. Band playage together WOULD be amazing. Con

As for composers... Umm... Umm... Well... I'm going to see a Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky and Dvorak concert next week. It's called "Russian Romantics". It'll be cool. They're all Russian and Romantic. XD But basically, anyone from the Romantic era is amazing.

Ooh! I know! Chopin! :D He's the best person everrrr! Especially with Nocturnes. Oh my. He's so awesome. And everyone loves him. It's impossible not to love him. USE HIM!

But don't use Mozart or Bach. They stink like poo. Disgust They're not Romantic either. They're Classical and Baroque respectively. Dickheads. Don't like them. >.<

And I hate Miley Cyrus. XD Just thought I'd say.

Oh God, that was amazing. In Love I love how we managed to stay in adjacent hotels. XD Did you think about that one? 'Cause we booked ours first. Bah! We visited Oxford Street together. Only as soon as we got there, you had to go back, which sucked. XD I remember you wanted to buy some Coke, and you said it in a way that made me think you said "Cooler" and I was like "What the hell is Cooler? Must be some crazy British drink." XD

I'd love to see Glasgow, yeah ♥__♥. After watching Taking Over the Asylum (22 year old David Tennant, yum yum), I've gotten better at understanding Scottish accents too, so there's not as much of a problem as before. Unless you start using jargon. I'm not good with jargon. XD

Staying up 'til 3 isn't that late for me. Only I can't do it at the moment, because I'm just at the end of term two. It's crazy. It's also freezing. XD The weather's getting warmer though, even though we're JUST getting into winter. Insane shiz.

Those plans were adorable. I remember, I was like "We could sing 'Silver and Cold', and at the end, I'd come up to you and touch your face. Weird" and you were like "I'd like that. Weird" That was nuts. XD We were such adorable fifteen year olds.

I'd still love to do it too. In Love If our bands get anywhere (I have no doubt yours will), it could be like a little side project. It'd be awesomesauce. XD

Oh God, here we go making plans again. tehe

Original songs. Yes. They're such a hassle sometimes. XD

I think we're gonna cover Girl With One Eye now. Hoorah! :D I love it. And the guitar bit is so much fun to play.

So far, out of the songs we've actually managed to play (all of two), I don't play guitar on either of them. I play piano on Endlessly, and bass on Fences, because the bassline would be too hard for the singer to play while singing, and she's been playing the guitar for longer than me anyway. XD

We've recorded ourselves a couple of times. The only song that we don't fail at yet is Endlessly though. That's one half of our repertoire! :D XD

Our band is like... alternative or something. XD Well, that's the style we play and the music we listen to. But then again, we listen to like Rachmaninov and Lily Allen and Muse and Lady Gaga and Within Temptation and Florence and the Machine. And it's not like they're at all comparable to each other.

Bah! To quote Miley Cyrus, I can't wait to see you again. tehe

    Labu lots and lots!

    -insert lots of hugs-

"I travelled half the world to say, I belong to youuuuuu!" Sorry, your last bit there just reminded me of the song. XD

If I had to accompany them, we woulda had to play Fly Me to the Moon, which I love, but just really never managed to get down on piano, or this Mozart piece, but I doubt it, because it's just kinda weak. I don't like Mozart much. =|

Haha, alcohol. XD I remember when I first got drunk. That was so embarrassing. I kept clinging to this guy and omg.

    FML.

I miss talking to you on MSN loads. Remember when we had all those adorable plans? They were sweet. :3

And really, I hate Australia. XD I'd much rather go back up to London to hang out with you. It's my favourite city in the world. <3 Well, out of all that I've been to so far. I've been to a couple... I thought Christchurch was my favourite, but nup, London beats it.

I'd love to visit Scotland too. Although I'm a little afraid of talking to people because you know that little problem I have with understanding half the stuff you guys say? Yeah. XD

But one day, I will go there. And it will be great. And we will hang out. BY OURSELVES. LIKE THE BIG KIDS WE ARE! :D

I so can't be bothered with the band atm. :( I don't know why. We're just not getting anywhere. Everyone's like "YAY COVERS! :D" and I'm like "Can we pleeeeeeeaaaaase do an original song?" And I've written a song .We just need to get down and write the bass, drums and vocals to it.

We're gonna cover Closer by Nine Inch Nails though. XD My friend, who's a girl mind you, is gonna be sitting there going "I wanna fuck you like an animal! I wanna feel you from the inside! Twitch" It'll be great. XD

But I can't be arsed. I just can not.

That's brill that you guys get recognised. XD Oh my. Lol, we had band practice today and I just could not be bothered. I went home to sleep instead. XD Or, you know, listen to sappy songs and cry, but that's got nothing to do with anything.

And I didn't have to do the big performance after all. I just had to play the songs in front of like a hundred or something people, and then they chose a song for tonight, which is in front of the shitloads of people, and they chose the unaccompanied one, so I'm all good. I was still nervous though.

I don't like hardcore music either. XD It just all seems the same to me. Yet, it still makes me more comfortable than rap and stuff.

When I was at this party a couple of years ago, and I was staying the night 'cause I lived too far away and was too drunk to get home in the middle of the night, they were playing gangsta music the whole party time, but when all the skanky people left, they played metal, and I just felt so much more at home. I know metal and hardcore aren't the same thing, but they both involve people shouting incomprehensible stuff, so... XD

Ah, I miss existing within people. =|

Anyywwwaayyyyyy, I can't wait to get it. ^^, It shall be awesome! :D

One day, we will hang out again, without parents, and we'll be able to have more than two minutes on swings to ourselves. XD

Don't know why I put that there. Just felt like it.

    Anyway, good bye, labu. ^^

    Whoa, you're way intense. XD

I'll listen to it. I don't know anything about Enter Shikari though. I think I've heard like one song three years ago and that's it, but I love listening to you sing. There's this thing about your voice that's just... great. XD

The thing with the "That person from LTH". Who calls them that? Random people on the street? Because that'd be great.

I'm pretty socially awkward too. I can't yell at random people. XD I'm a total wuss. Like, when we were in Aussie, we were in line for this ice scream shop that makes their cones right in front of you, and we were standing there for ages, and just as it was my turn, the lady was like "These girls were here before you so I'll serve them first." when in actual fact we'd been there far longer. I was just like ":( Okay." But then my mum kicked up the biggest most unnecessary fuss ever. XD I was like "Whoa, can not do that. O_O"

    XD

Anywayyyyyyyyyy, I'm so nervous about the competition tomorrow. BAH!

And yeah, get the rest to sign it too. I don't mind waiting a few days. It's gonna take a while to post anyway, isn't it?

I love how everyone always goes "You're really good at piano! I bet you'll be amazing!" and no one's even heard me play. How do you know I'm not a massive fail at it? XD I like to think I'm not, 'cause I've been playing for like eleven years, but still, you know...

You do a Lady G cover? :D What song? Do you have a recording? I sooooo wanna hear it!

My band's called ETSF. See if you can work out what it stands for. XD Nothing to do with football, I assure you.

    Also... I forgot. XD

    Oh yeah! The EP!

    Can't wait. tehe

DCNB is awesome. ^^ I suspect the rest will be too.

Bwah! You have to sign it. So that in a while, I'll be like "Yeah, we're friends. Yeah, I've got the EP and yeah, I have autographs and everything!" XD

Is that the highest year? I have no idea, sorry. XD

And and and that sucks about all that stuff being stolen. D: WTF is with people these days? It's messed up. I swear they didn't even need half the stuff that was stolen, they just wanted to displease the people. I was a thief once, that's how it works a lot of the time. I didn't steal from people though, only corporations.

But good thing that you had a gig. How many songs have you got? Do you play any covers as well?

We haven't had band practice in forever because last week, the singer and I were both sick (I'm still sick now >_<) and this weekend, there's no school on Friday, but I think we might do it next Friday, even though there's a mahoosive choir competition on afterwards where like a bajillion school choirs gather in the town hall and they all get a turn at being filmed then shown on TV and they just love to close in on the pianist's hands. Disgust

And this is with thousands of people watching. Bloody terrifying, that stuff is. Sometimes, I hate playing for the choir, because someone in the choir can screw up and no one will notice, because everyone else will pick them up, but there's only one of me. :(

Sounds super fun. The band part, I mean. I wish I had time to do things with my soon-to-be/supposed-to-be band. I mean, we've got a name and songs, we just don't ever practice or try to get gigs. Damn.

And things have been alright over here, a little stressed but not too bad. How about with you?
