Yeah haha, it’s like you can’t win either way…
You put people before you…but you can easily get walked all over.
But if you don’t put people before you and just care about yourself, people start to take a dislike to you, because you’d come across as being really selfish.
But it’s really hard to satisfy everyone. Sometimes you do have to do things for yourself.
That’s exactly what it’s like nowadays. People only really go for the looks of the members of the band to like them, it’s ridiculous.
That’s partly why I want to interview bands and stuff. To show it’s not about the looks. It’s about the people behind the music. The people who work hard to attain their fans lol.
Haha, see I’d totally disagree with that. I think Joey’s handsome. But everyone does have their own opinions and preferences. But he’s got to be the best drummer ever. Just liking him for what he looks like is stupid.
It’s almost like an insult having someone say that your idol or favourite band is crap…it’s almost like, I dunno, like going up to someone who’s from a different religion or something and saying their religion is a load of rubbish. It’s a big insult. And people don’t realize that.
Lol, I usually always have something to rant about, I always get annoyed with things…usually things to do with music though. Like how people are quick to bash others and stuff..
Nooo, I didn’t interview Joey. I really wish I did, but I don’t think at the time I’d have the confidence to have done that lol. I went to a signing that he had in Birmingham and met him there. It only lasted less than 30 seconds…but it seemed longer at the time. And he made me blush the three times, so if I did have an interview, I’d have been too embarrassed to have carried on with it lol.
Hopefully if I get to Download though I can get an interview with him!
I want to learn drums, but I only have the drumsticks lmao. I need the drums first. XD
But I’m learning guitar atm. I’m doing okay. I’m going to stick at it. =]
Oooh, I’d like to learn bass as well…in fact, I just want to have a variety of instruments to play. It just opens up more for you…like for bands and stuff. If you’re multi-talented with different things, it just gives you more choice. (:
Yeah he was in Dope haha. I knew him from the Murderdolls though lol. And I somehow came across his personal myspace page and that’s when I started taking a liking to his new music, it’s amazing lol.
I still can’t believe it was them who contacted me about the interview. I didn’t even have to work for it! It’s amazing haha.
The interview will be up on youtube hopefully. Can’t wait lol. I still need to sort out questions…but I need to buy his EP before then. It’s almost a month to go!
Yeah, I’d prefer people being themselves. Because if they don’t, you can end up being friends with them, and realizing how fake they were back then, and it just puts you off of them.
And yeah, it is like they’re pushing me away because I’m not like them. But I don’t want to be the same as everyone else lol. I am who I am and they should just accept that. It’s being selfish not accepting people for who they are.
I think personality is the best thing to go for. It’s what I go for anyways.
Awesome! I’d love to go to Brazil one day, it sounds nice over there.
And I’d love to have some holiday time over in Australia. I’ve always been fascinated with that place since I was small haha.

    Haha, you’re probably right. xD
Yeah, most of the time I’ve always done things for others,
Put people before me all the time, when I should have been looking out for myself as well.
Well I got into more heavier rock etc…last year I started listening to Slipknot for example, but their music kind of lightened up, they started listening to more ‘pop’ kind of music, so they didn’t like what I was listening to.
And one of my idols is the drummer from Slipknot, Joey Jordison, and I got to meet him the day before my 16th so I was really excited and happy about that, and they were like ‘urgh, he’s ugly’ when I showed them a picture.
I mean, what the hell, looks aren’t everything! It’s personality that counts, and it’s not as if he’s my idol because I think he’s cute or whatever, it’s because he’s an amazing drummer and has inspired me to want to learn the drums.
They really annoy me. They said the same about Acey Slade, who is also another of my idols and who I’m getting to interview in May.
I wish they’d just be happy for me, instead of telling me what they think about everything.
Yeah, I understand how you can dislike someone to begin with, then become good friends with them at a later date, because that happened to me. When I was like 8 or something, there was this girl that I really did not like, we were like enemies. But she left school until I was maybe about 12/13, and we gradually became quite good friends.
In a way, it’s like they’re jealous of my new friend…they just don’t give her a chance. And whenever I’d mention her, they’d always interrupt with ‘oh I don’t like her’, or ‘I can’t stand her’. I mean, you can’t impress everyone. There’s no point in even trying. Just being yourself is what counts. But they’ve changed to fit in with other people, causing them to push me away because I’m not like this new crowd they’re getting into.
Haha, where abouts are you from??
I live in the UK, but my dad lives in Australia, so it’s kind of like a second home, I’ve not been there yet, but I’m hoping to soon. [:

Yeah i thought i was just unlucky, but it looks like a lot of people have had similar things like that happen. Must be really common lol.
I feel really bad about it all though, and i sometimes feel it's my fault, but i don't know why i'd feel like that.
But i think i do need to confront them, because i need to stand up for myself a little more and if something's bugging me i should try and sort it out as best as i can, even if i do hit a few bumps along the way.
Yeah, i think we don't have anything in common anymore, i think that's what might have went wrong. And they always put me down when they say how the music i listen to is crap or whatever, just cause they don't listen to it. It's really annoying. I don't tell people what they like is wrong or crap. T_T
A lot of people do say that you make your real friends out of school and the ones at school are just a kick off, they're just there temporarily. But i dunno. We used to be really close and everything, now it's like they have no time for me. :/
I do need to talk to more people though. Actually, i made a new friend last year, she was new in the area and she approached me and another friend and we became really good friends. We still are. But my older friends, the ones who make me feel like crap, they took an instant dislike to her and it really annoyed me, because they don't give her a chance. It's like they just judge her, and she's been there for me and treated me like an actual friend unlike them.
Haha, well you seem like an awesome person. But i bet you live out of the UK. And people who do live in the UK, never live anywhere near me. xD

    Awww thanks. ^_^
    You do too btw lol.
I really don't like complete change at all. I don't mind if it's a little bit, but it's like my friends, they've just changed completely, and so fast. And tbh i don't think i've changed a bit and it's just scary to think how people can just be someone completely different within a short period of time.
And i suppose i still keep them as my friends because, well, maybe i'm just being paranoid about them, and taking small things to be bigger than they really are. Another reason could be because i'd feel like i wasn't being a friend if i just got rid of them, in a way. :/
Also, i think i'm scared to lose them. They've been my sort of foundation all this time and i don't think i can see past that. Like ever since i came to the decision that i was going to confront them in the Summer, i've been thinking a lot, about if i do lose them, i'd likely feel like i've lost everything.
It's really confusing lol. I really don't know what i think anymore. I feel like i've lost myself and lost my voice in all things. :S

    Good good!
If it gets all popular and that, i'm not going to turn into one of them people who just forgets what everything was all about lol
I'm doing it for the fans mostly, so they can hear from their favourite bands and stuff [:
Haha, i won't let my friends get in the way with this, i've done it all by myself and gotten far, so they're definitely not going to ruin it ^_^

No problem! Well basically we startt highschool at 11, 12 years old and stay there for six years. However you can leave when your 16. In the final two years there we set exams called highers. You can sit a total of 5 and get graded A,B,C etc. To get into a good college course you will probally need 1 or 2 highers. To get into a university you need about 4 or more. So im trying to get 2 highers this year to get into college then after college go to university and get a degree. Hope that makes sense lol x
