Um. I'm sorry, are you talking to me?

Cause, honestly, what these people (emo/scene) think is 'profound' is really just more of the same that gets very silly after a while. I never said poetry is bad, just this ridiculousness of writing 'emo-etry' is quite boring and overdone well before the 50th one you've read in a sitting. However, if a poem has a point rather than just 'slit my wrists, the world is so sad' or 'slit my wrists, my love just left me' then perhaps it is worth paying attention to, but even if it does have that meaning, and it is well written, it just doesn't mean that every piece of 'emo-etry' is going to be good, because the majority is not.

Which furthers my reasons as to why I like this particular poem, because it typifies what these people think and refutes it simply in rhyme.

Sweet. I totally agree with you that these people think they're so cool about being emo/scene, and what they write is complete...trite. So, go you for pointing it out in a creative way.

Your right.. 'emo' is the same as 'scene' ... both are lables that ingnorant people use. -__-..
But hey, I have to hand it to you. Writing a poem about how you dont like people writing poems so that people will read your poem was a wonderful idea, and it paid off..
