A worthy topic to write about indeed. So often do we get caught up in attempting to be someone we are not, For various reasons which all stem from avoidance of emotional pain (In my opinion), That we forget to see things for what they truly are, and we lose sight of the small part of ourselves that remain. This is my favorite poem of yours so far (I have read 6 of your most recent).
