Sometimes people don't want to get help. Sometimes they just want someone to understand or even just cry to. A lot of times they could get out.. and choose not to because they could be in even worse situations, should they stand up for themselves..
While I do agree people being abused, in any way, should be helped.. you shouldn't generalize. Not all victims are scared to stand up for themselves. Not all of them want people to know, whether it be the police, their best friend, or even the rest of their family..
