Self Harm; Cousins; I hate myself right now. - Comments

  • I loved this poem. It was both beautiful and elegant, as well as sad and chilling. Please, don't ever feel that this is your fault. It's not. You did not cut her wrist for her. I'm not trying to BLAME her, I'm just saying that even thought you confided in her about it, it's not your doing. Your cousin loves and cares for you, as you do her. I don't think it was anyone's fault that she picked up cutting.

Your writing can inspire and help people. Help your cousin through your writing! Show her this poem. Show her you care. Because, hey - you are a caring and loving person, and I can tell that from this poem. Tell her: Don't ever give up, never be taken alive, and always, always keep the faith. xxxxxx

  • Although you are very, very gifted, I can see you are hurt. I can tell you (Because I used to confide in cuts as well) that this is not your fault. You and your cousin will always be sisters, friends, angels. Cutting is something that must be resolved personally, and all you need to do is be there for your cousin. Since you both now know the pain of self-harm, make it a goal for the both of you to overcome. You are SO beautiful, and the world would be a MUCH darker place without you. You are so gifted, so blessed with talent that I know you will be able to overcome this. Stay strong, love. I wrote a poem about overcoming self-harm, I will post it sometime, because it is exactly what you need to read. It's a positive message about how scars are physically permanent, but mentally temporary.
