I feel like everybody can definitely relate to this. I remember when I was 14 and I'd be all "oh when I'm 18 I'm going to do loads of cool stuff and not listen to my parents etc. etc." but like... in reality, it's just work and adult responsibilities that I don't want, and I think you capture that sense of... well, disappointment, really, in the second stanza in those two lines at the end of it. And the verse about anxiety I can definitely relate to -- sometimes I'm like "aw yeah look at all the times I worked through it" but also when you're in the moment and the world feels like it's crushing you alive, it can be really difficult to remember the times beforehand and think it'll all work out. I feel like sometimes I look back and remember and think "and this is the one that's gonna get me".
I really liked how real and raw this poem was, and how much I could connect to it. Good job!
I think we all wish we're young again then when we're young we all want to grow up xD It's kind of a weird sense of irony now that i think about it. Anywho another heartfelt poem. Good job, Erin <3
