If I lived to be one hundred

If I lived to be one hundred
I would hope the war had ended
I would hope to have faced all my fears
I would hope my tears had dried
I would hope to have given my heart away
I would hope I could hear the angels sing
I would hope I that I had shaken hands with all our fallen soliders
I would hope someone would miss me when I died
I would tell my grandchildren the story of a girl
And how she lived to be one hundred.
