Up And Doing Circles

I'm sure if I look hard enough I could see past these hills
to where the bay meets the sky.
To where the rain stings if you stay out long enough.
I'm sure if I ran far enough I could meet you there.

But bright eyes, bright lights makes everything blue,
and this feeling is nothing new.

Breath slow
and tell me where I should go.

I don't know how far that is
but I think if I stay up all night
I'll get there alright.

This town is driving me insane
with skies the color of gray
and paper planes who always seem to take me away.
Save me now,
do you think I can swim long enough that I won't drown?

But it's enough to make me sick
Enough to knock me down and out.
Can't anyone see that I want out?

But I'm only dreaming,
only wishing for someone to see.
Maybe if they heard me screaming,
they'd know I wasn't playing.
