Ode to the Sea

What lies beyond the surface
Of that deepest darkest blue
Beneath the waves, past all time
And this is my ode to you

My gracious queen of the ocean
I dwell for thee in devotion
With rage thou controls the sea
I merely a slave to serve thee

Diving in a private lagoon
Where we can be as one
once in a blue moon
Before it has begun
Our tale is done

Captured in my human prison
Never able of reaching thee
Behind these bars I cannot flee
While a new moon has risen

Once again I gaze at thee
at thy cold dark waters
and thy wailing waves
whisper to me tenderly

Leave the shore of mankind
In death we shall be entwined
Can you feel my gentle kiss
While taking a leap into the abyss

Diving in a private lagoon
Where we can be as one
under a blue moon
Before it has begun
Our tale is done
