Faith in Love.

If you can’t love yourself,
Who can love you?
My mother sounded over tea.

I responded with a groan,
How many times will it take?
I pulled back my hair,
And took in a breath.

Love will find me,
That I’m sure,
I don’t need a doctor,
I don’t need a cure.
It will find me,
When I need it,
When I have nothing else.
It will calm me,
Guide me,
But most importantly,
Help me, love me.

She nodded her agreement,
And turned around,
She had worn a smile,
Which had turned to a frown.

What if love never comes?
What if it loses its way?
How will you cope?
How will you go about your day?
Will you laugh it off?
And continue to say,
Love will find me,
It will, some day!

Everyone gets lost,
But they find their way,
It’s called fate,
Other’s say destiny.
What’s meant to be,
Will be.
But let me tell you this:
I have faith in love,
I just hope love has faith in me.
