Summer's Glow.

The season's glow is gone.
Your hand I am bound never to touch again.
The late nights spent on wooden boardwalks play like a movie in my mind.
Do you see them where you are?
With eyes like stars that shone into my life.
And I wish I could say forgetting you was easy.
I wish I could say regretting you was hard.
But your face is everywhere around me.
Your taste, it stalks my every word.
You spoke with a voice of radio static blaring silently through my speakers.
If I hold on forever, will there be enough room to breathe without you here with me?
The snowflakes have just begun falling.
Outside where the ground sits frozen, waiting for the impact of a thousand frozen soldiers.
These thoughts dance around me in the slowest of motions.
We fought the tide but we couldn't fight the time.
Past the milkway of time and space, where nothing could shine as bright as you.
