Cry Me A River

When they turn their back on you,
Do you turn your back on them?
Who do you turn to?
When life is hard and their not there.

Do you turn to the people you can't see,
Or the people you need to see?
How about those you have to see;
Yet you don't want to.

If they can't see that all you ment was to help,
That you thought you were doing the right thing.
How are you supposed to tell them,
When they aren't open minded.
They never expecting to hear anything,
So they weren't listening for it.
So how were you suppose to tell them?

* * *

"Go cry a river" She said,
"See if i care."

"I would if you'd let me." I replied.
"But how is that fair."
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked.

"You don't know do you?
I've cries seven times today.
That's over a thousand lonely tears hitting the ground,
Only say the word - and you'll have your way."

How was i to know what she was thinking?
And how was i to explain it to her,
If she couldn't see it my way?
Somethings are impossible;
unless someone's there to help.

That someone has to fit the description well,
And not falter at any cost.
They have to see it their way,
Yet also see it yours.
They'll have to be there for you,
They have to see it through.
But in the end, a friendship can always be lost.

It's just a misunderstanding,
They happen all the time.
People will ask you if you're okay;
and you'll tell them you're feeling fine.

But are you really,
Are you sure you don't need any help?
You say you'll be okay,
And hope next time,
You wont yelp.
