The Dear Elizabeth Sweet

As the birds chirp and the river flows,
Elizabeth Sweet walks on her toes.
As ripples form and the ocean moves with the swift movements of the tides,
Elizabeth sweet sits with her knees to her chest and cries.
For the dear Elizabeth wasn't loved like you and I,
And every single day of this life she's left to wonder why,
The world can't love her the same,
Or why she's always the one to blame.
As she walks down the street people stare her down,
waiting for her to cause madness in the town.
But the people don't realize that it's themselves,
locking their happiness in a jail cell.
She goes to her only friend and says she cant take it anymore,
her life has shattered to pieces and her heart torn.
But even her her only friend has now deceased,
As it ends up in the peoples hands and is burned to ashes.
And as the bitterness of this event passes,
She's left only to see,
the remainings of a once loving teddy bear who wouldn't deceive.
And now her friend lies lifeless on the ground,
All because of the selfishness of the people in the town.
And as Elizabeth Sweet glances at her only friend once warm and brown,
She realizes that in such a life, happiness will never be found.
