Oh, How We Cry

Empty hands,
A heart beat racing.
Restored my life,
For the things you have taken.
Sadness means sorrow,
But for sorrow I am not.
I promised you companionship,
I promised you a lot.
Things lie,
I lie.

Oh, how we cry,
For the simple things in life.
But tears are meaningless,
In a sea of emptyness.
So you cry.

I am ashamed,
Look what everyone became.
Life without any oxygen,
Death that breathes our air.
And I stare,
But you are blank.
I dance of pain,
And sing of pity.
Your story my love,
It ain't so pretty.
But neither am I.

And oh, how we cry,
For the simple things in life.
Passion and growth,
Strenth we don't know.
And yet you continue to cry.

If life is meaningless,
Than I shall give it meaning.
If we are meaningless,
Than we're though.
But you,
And I,
And we
Cry.
