Black-Winged Angel

He was created for an eternity of unknown,
Searching for eternity so he wouldn't be alone.
His bare hands grasp the air,
Wishing there was another hand there.
He closes his eyes and squeezes out tears,
Wishing there was no such thing as fear.
The mist is falling,
His breath is stalling...

Eyes pierced black,
Skin pierced white,
Spreading his wings,
He takes to flight.
Chest heaving up and down,
His heart crashes to the ground.
He's losing control,
As the sky sings,
To the one with the black wings.

He is chained to these feathers,
Praying they won't last forever.
Suicide is on his mind,
Hoping after death he will find
Someone who won't judge him,
Just someone who will love him.
Closing his eyes, he begins to plea,
He begins to run, he begins to flee.
The mist is falling,
His breath is stalling...

Eyes pierced black,
Skin pierced white,
Spreading his wings,
He takes to flight.
Chest heaving up and down,
His heart crashes to the ground.
He's losing control,
As the sky sings,
To the one with the black wings.

The heavens are screaming with fear,
His eyes are gleaming with tears.
And suddenly, he begins to doubt,
With this life, could he live without?
He has had enough!
Just his mind, he can't make up.
The heavens part,
Racing is his heart...

Eyes pierced black,
Skin pierced white,
His heart is being torn apart.
A single feather falls to the ground,
He just cannot make a sound.
The Black-Winged Angel left no doubt,
The Black-Winged Angel, we are without.
