Wedding Dresses

When I said I want it black,
You quickly turned away,
When I said I want it black,
You regretted everyday.

A dress is supposed to be white silk,
With a frothed-up veil,
Not black, but I want it,
Even if I fail.

On your wedding day, it's all white,
Black brings bad luck,
I got the worst luck of all,
My wedding day was took.

You knew that I was strange,
My head was up in space,
But I was serious when I said black,
When I said it to your face.

My wedding dress is going to be white,
It'll keep you by my side,
This should make me feel good,
But my wish has died.

I can't put my foot down,
And say ' it's black or else',
Because you will struggle free,
Screaming for lost help.

I want to have it my way,
Girls stand against the men,
As if this'll ever happen,
Will someone tell me when?

Wedding dress is one thing,
Along with the other hopes,
That have all been killed,
No longer do they lope.

It's alright for you,
You're not going to wear,
This all-black wedding dress,
But it'll give you a scare.
