Flower
The petals slowly leave the stem
Each one goes off to find a new flower
They come back to the stem, of course
But they don’t need her anymore
They have their other flower
The stem sits alone in the field
Her roots are all she has left
Her petals don’t need her anymore
Oh, how easily disposed she is
How easily overlooked she is
How very, very alone she feels
Each one goes off to find a new flower
They come back to the stem, of course
But they don’t need her anymore
They have their other flower
The stem sits alone in the field
Her roots are all she has left
Her petals don’t need her anymore
Oh, how easily disposed she is
How easily overlooked she is
How very, very alone she feels
