Punk Rock Friend and Angel to All

Written over two years ago. Dedicated to Katie Lynne Mills. R.I.P. I love you and miss you.

A friend is someone
Who doesn't give up
Someone who is strong
Someone who is funny
But also serious

Yet, there are times
When she breaks down
And isn't so strong
But you'd be there for her
To be the strong one
At anytime, so you
And she will have fun again

The better times are when you both go out
After a concert for an autograph out in the cold
Not caring that both of you
Are freezing your butts off
Making both of you laugh
Later on

The best friend comes along
When both of you like the same things
For example, bands
And if you both have the same fave
It's a guarantee that you two
Are going to be best friends for life
If both of you
Live to be at least 70

My best friend was unofficial until she died
And you can say that we
Could've been twins, no wait, punk rock twins
All of what has been explained
In the past stanzas, is
What I've had and will always
Have, plus more
I believe that she was an angel
So that's why she has one
One her grave
And she was a very
Kind and loving person
Earning a beautiful heart shaped gravestone
While the others in the cemetery
Remain plain and cliche

I guess you could
Say that she was perfect
No matter how many times
You hear, "No one's perfect."
Well, I don't care; to me
Her family and others who
Knew her, we think she is
And was a perfect person
In heaven and on Earth
The greatest best friend
Sister, grandddaughter
Great-granddaughter, niece and
Daughter will live on forever
As my hero and as a very young
Punk rock angel
