The Sunrise of Us

At the sunrise of tomorrow
In the dusty corners of straw
We hide before another day
Seals us in its claw

At sunrise, we each grab a mare
Catch them both by their silken manes
With the ease of the gentle storms
We leave while it rains

The path we ride has sprouted long
Long before any man was born
She is older than the wild love
That treads her this morn

As the hills bleed in red and gold
Our horses go off at a gallop
'Let them not be reined', whisper I
'May they never stop'

The ivies climb our horses wild
To unite our fingers and palms
The oaken trees rest their green crowns
Upon nature's realm

At the sunset of yesterday
We saddled our desire bold
We rode, rode, 'til the end of all
Let's never grow old.
