Rant.

I just wanted
to let you know
that I don't bite.

It's okay to talk
to me. Just take
a deep breath,
like I did that first
time, come up to me,
and say "Hi."

If a girl is sitting
all alone (especially
if it's the girl who
the night before confessed
an interest in you),
then it is your obligation -
no, you duty - as
a gentleman to offer
her company.

And those girls
that came in soon after you'd
noticed me and they sat
down next to me?
Don't be scared of them.
They're just people,
not sharks.
They won't laugh
at you.
(Well, they might,
but it is highly
unlikely.)

anyway,
my point is just
that you need
to get over that silly
14-year-old fear (I had
it once too) of humiliating
rejection (duh, I already
told you I like you)
and acknowledge
at least my existence.

It's not like I'm
some experienced,
10-years-older-
thank-you woman.

I'm only 17.
