Another Lost Son

Ma'am I'm sorry to say your son has passed away,
He has lost his life to a gun today,
You let him join the army,
So he could protect this country,

Bullets would fly passed his head,
He saw one to many friends on the battle field dead,
Everyone prayed he would come back,
Now we're at his funeral, dressed in black,

You never got the chance to say goodbye,
You feel like you have died inside,
You're a moth with a broken heart,
But it's not just your world that's falling apart,

He was your only son,
It's sad to know the war he fought wasn't won,
So close your eyes and say goodnight,
And try to forget that it was your son that lost his life.
