Can you taste the regret in her blood
As she tries to stop the bleeding
Sitting there praying to god
And pleading.
She just wanted someone to hold.
Someone to touch
She wanted to feel real flesh beneath her fingertips
Not someone who'll only give half as much.
No ones been perfect
so she was supposed to be the first
She was never competitive
But it fed her parents thirst
"Help me help me" she would say to them
But backs turned and eyes strayed away
She pleaded for friends and people for truth
Clawing at bonds that wouldn't stay.
