What Can You See?

Who is the person you see
The one hiding behind me
I know you see her before I
I know she's all in your eyes
Or at least that's what I thought I knew
But I guess I'll never really know you
Because you really only seek
The girl that's so plain and bleak
In other words, that girl is me
And what can you possibly see?
I'm dull, I'm plain
I cry in the rain
I'm imperfection at it's height
And I cannot see the light
I'm reclusive and a bookworm
You're open and warm
I'm so steeped in darkness
And probably nearing madness
So what can anyone like you see
What you seem to see in me?
